Upper and lower jaws occlude in a definite central occlusion with natural physiological contact points. 28 model teeth made of hard thermosetting plastic material are securely positioned in the model with Philips head screws. ANA-4 dental models come with a threaded metal back plate for screw retention or optional retention with a magnetic mounting plate in frasaco phantom heads.

The new frasaco A-J F range of upper and lower jaw models can be used for training purposes for all dental implantological surgery procedures under correct anatomical conditions. The models can be displayed on panoramic X-ray and represent the anatomy of an implant patient with a greatly reduced residual dentition. Upper jaw: paranasal sinus abnormally expanded due to bone atrophy, residual dentition: 13, 23, 27 Lower jaw: 2 canals for simulating the alveolar nerve, residual dentition: 33, 37, 43 The artificial bone material corresponds to the physicomechanical properties of the human jaw bone. There is also the option of an elastic removable gingiva cover. These features not only allow drilling under realistic conditions of resistance and drilling pressure but also ensure that incisions, periostomy and suturing techniques can be practised under as realistic conditions as possible. Simulation of the mucosa of the maxillary sinus and paranasal sinus in the upper jaw even provides the opportunity of training in direct or indirect sinus lift surgery. Fitting the models into frasaco phantom heads (upper jaw with an integrated mounting thread, lower jaw with reusable metal mounting plate) provides even more realistic practice in the restricted working area of the oral cavity.

All used materials such as aluminium, refined steel, thermo-plastics and elastomers are of high-grade quality. The aluminium components have a coating which provides extra protection against corrosion and facilitates cleaning, in order to prevent any ugly scratches becoming visible, thus allowing the compon-ents to retain their aesthetic appearance longer.

The P-6/5 phantom head is the most sophisticated training aid, de-scription corresponding to P-6/3 including the following additional features: the inclination of condylar guidance is adjustable on both sides thus allowing the ideal anterior and canine guidance or a fully balanced occlusion to be simulated. The basic geometric dimensions can be measured with compasses and the models transferred to partial and fully adjustable articulators. Provided with corresponding fixing pins at the hinge-axis points for mounting of anatomical face bows and hinge-axis localizers. (dental model not included)

The articulator P-3 has anatomically shaped condyle boxes to allow for simulation of corresponding human masticatory functions within three-dimensional curved condylar paths. The model jaws and articulations are positioned in the correct anatomical relationship and the natural excursions of the mandible can be reproduced exactly. The vertical adjustment allows for mounting of different model jaws. The robust skull dome is coloured throughout in grey with a plastic coat of approx. 3 mm thickness, to prevent paint to splinter off and to allow scratches to be polished out. The neck articulation is located in the anatomically correct position at the cranial base and is used to position the head. The robust lift inside the skull dome provides access to a starwheel bolt which releases the face mask holding plate. In order to allow anatomical face bows to be mounted, a nose has been added to the skull dome and the articulator P-3 is provided with corresponding fixing pins. Should the mandible be opened to 15 mm distance between upper and lower incisal edges, a deflection roller makes the heads of the condyles slide forward as with a patient. Save time and money with frasaco strip crowns, achieving optimum efficiency in no time. Even for multip-le layer technique, strip crowns can be used as matrix to shape the final layer.

frasaco strip crowns are elastic, thin and easy to cut celluloid crowns.In the transparent execution they are light-transmissive for polymerization light. They are used as moulds for creating temporary restorations on preparations and as matrices for restoration of corners and edges. They are placed without problem using any conventional material for temporary restorations. A strip crown in the required size and shape is adjusted to the cervical area and the gingival margin with a crown scissor. Please request manufacturers' adresses for products we have tested for this application.Prior to placement, ensure that strip crown and preparation are clean and dry. Fill the strip crown with temporary filling material and place it. Strip crowns can be used as matrices when restoring corners and edges – even when using composites. When doing so, cut out that section of the strip crown corresponding to the part of the tooth being restored, allowing for the strip crown to overlap the margins of the cavity. Fill the matrix with the definite filling material and press it into place. Remove the matrix after the filling material has set. Should for some reason strip crowns remain for a few days on a tooth, please make sure that their gingival edge is no deeper than 1mm inside the sulcus to avoid pos-sible traumatisation of the marginal periodontium. Under no circumstances should strip crowns remain for longer than 30 days in the mouth.

Pedodontal strip crowns

Placing prefabricated frasaco pedodontal strip crowns is an excellent technique for retaining badly damaged deciduous teeth.

In earlier times, deciduous teeth with carious defects were extracted once these exceeded a certain stage. Nowadays, they are left in the mouth as a spacer as it is now known that the deciduous teeth are important for the unimpeded development of children’s jaws. The advances made in conservative dentistry have changed the manner in which this field is approached. Reference should also be made to aesthetic and phonetic aspects.

We have kept pace with these changes by supplying our pedodontal strip crowns in several sizes. Allergies, which can be caused by other crown materials, are virtually eliminated.

general commercial conditions

The following conditions apply also to future business with the buyer, even if not ex-pressly referred to it. Different purchasing conditions of the buyer obligate frasaco only,if expressly recognized. Should individual regulations be or become ineffective, thenthe remaining conditions will not be affected.

1. Generala) All quotations are to be understood without compromise, subject to availability and

prior sales.b) Only frasaco’s order confirmation will be binding. All modifications are subject to

amendments in writing.c) The present conditions shall apply for all transactions during continuous business

relations, even if not expressly referred to.

2. Pricesa) The sales prices as per the price list in force will apply, frasaco reserve, however,

the right to modify prices without prior notification.b) All prices are to be understood in (Euro) ex works Tettnang, excl. of

packing, transport insurance, freight, customs duty, import taxes and fees; saleswithin Germany are subject to additionnally payable V.A.T.

c) Minimum order value is determined at 50,00. A service charge of 10,00shall apply for small orders of up to 200,00 amount of invoice.

3. Obligation of Delivery and Receptiona) The delivery time will begin upon receipt of all information and documents which

are required for the execution of the order, down payment and, if so agreed, pur-chaser’s punctual supply of materials. In case of delays not imputable to frasacodelivery time is deemed to be complied with upon notification that goods areready for dispatch.

b) If the previously agreed delivery time is not complied with due to frasaco’s fault,however neither by severe negligence nor intention, the purchaser is entitled, to theexclusion of all other rights, to claim penalty of 0,5 % for each complete week oflate delivery, however, only up to a maximum of 5 % from the value of the delayedportion of the order.

c) Partial deliveries are allowed, as well as reasonable deviations of up to ± 10% fromthe ordered quantity. Part deliveries must be paid separetely; frasaco is not liableto continue deliveries prior to the reception of corresponding payments.

d) If the purchaser refuses the reception of the merchandise despite of having beenenforced, frasaco has the right to sell the ordered merchandise at random.

e) Samples, if not otherwise agreed upon, shall be invoiced within 30 days from dateof delivery.

f) frasaco may accept merchandise in perfect condition and with original packing tobe returned freight prepaid at a date previously agreed upon. If firmly ordered andinvoiced merchandise is returned for reasons not imputable to frasaco receptionmay be refused. Credit notes for returned merchandise will be issued only if origi-nal invoice and packing list are presented. In any case, a handling fee of 50,00plus a service charge of 15 to 20% from the value of the merchandise will be in-voiced. Returns of custom made merchandise and of merchandise delivered by fra-saco more than 3 months ago will not be accepted.

g) In case of force majeure frasaco is entitled to postpone deliveries for the durationof the impediment and a reasonable start-up allowance or to withdraw partially ortotally from the execution of the order. Strike, lockout and unpredictable circum-stances, e.g. plant break-downs, which prevent frasaco, despite the exercise of allreasonable efforts from delivery on time, are equivalent to force majeure, subject tobe proven by frasaco. This shall also apply to impediments occuring during alrea-dy delayed deliveries or to subcontractor’s supplies. The purchaser may ask fra-saco to declare within two weeks to withdraw from the execution of the order or to deliver within a reasonable additionnal term. The purchaser may withdraw from the unfulfilled part of the order if frasaco fails to declare its position. frasaco shall in-form the purchaser immediately in case of force majeure to minimize damages tothe purchaser.

4. Packing, Transport, Transfer of Riska) frasaco will choose packing, means and routing of transport to its best ability.

Packing will be invoiced at cost and shall not be returned.b) Transport insurance to purchaser’s account will be taken by frasaco. In case of da-

mages during transport, a corresponding average report must be issued by thehandling post office or forwarding agent and sent immediately to frasaco.

c) Risk shall pass to the purchaser as soon as the merchandise leaves frasaco’sworks, even when delivered freight prepaid. If delivery is postponed for reasons im-putable to the purchaser, risk shall pass to the purchaser as soon as frasaco hasgiven notification that merchandise is ready for shipment.

5. Retention of Propertya) All delivered merchandise shall remain property of frasaco until all its claims against

the purchaser have been settled, even if payment for specified deliveries has beenalready received. In case of current account business frasaco shall retain the titleto the delivered merchandise as security for any outstanding balance owed bythe purchaser. Should frasaco incur liability arising from documentary acceptanceestablished for a purchase, property shall pass to the purchaser only after the purchaser as drawee has honoured completely the corresponding drafts. Thepurchaser is not entitled to pledge or seize the merchandise unless it is fullypaid up.

b) In case of resale, the purchaser herewith assigns to frasaco, until all its claimshave been satisfied, any claim for payment or otherwise which the purchaser mayhave against his customers, along with all subsidiary rights. Upon request of fra-saco the purchaser shall forward all information and documents which are ne-cessary to enforce frasaco’s right against the purchaser’s customer.

c) If merchandise subject to retention of property is to be pledged to or seized by athird party the purchaser shall inform frasaco immediately. All costs related to cor-responding intervention are to purchaser’s account.

6. Warranty and Liability

a) frasaco reserve the right to change without prior notice construction or execution of its products according to the technical development or to remove products fromthe delivery program. Particulars contained in catalogues, leaflets, advertisementsor demonstration objects are not binding; this shall also apply to reproductions,drawings, dimensions and weights mentioned in or attached to quotations, if nototherwise stated.

b) Quality and workmanship of the products shall be determined by reference to the production samples which frasaco will, upon purchaser’s request, submitfor examination. Any warranty in respect of specific characteristics of the merchandise or in respect of the performance of moulds shall only be valid ifstated in writing.

References to technical standards shall serve as basic specification. Thewarranty does not extend to subsidiary risks or losses due to defects of themerchandise.

c) Any complaint must be made immediately in writing, upon receipt of the deliveredmerchandise. In case of justified claim, under consideration of quality and work-manhip by reference to the production samples approved in writing by the purcha-ser, the defective parts will be repaired or replaced to frasaco’s choice. Should replacements or repair fail, then the buyer may recur to the legally stipulated terms of warranty. Upon frasaco’s request, replaced parts must be returned freight prepaid. In any case warranty claims shall expire six months after receipt of the mer-chandise by the purchaser.

d) Unauthorized repairs and improper treatment by the purchaser shall relievefrasaco from all warranty claims.

7. General Limitation of LiabilityIn all cases where, based either on contract or legal terms, frasaco’s liability for da-mages differs from the stipulations in the present general conditions, it shall only beliable in so far as it can be proven to have acted intentionally or with severe negli-gence.

8. Terms of Paymenta) All payments shall be made in (Euro) to frasaco only. Cash discounts on pay-ments shall only be granted when all previously due invoices have been settled completely. No cash discount will be allowed for documentary payments or drafts.b) frasaco’s invoices for supplies within Germany are payable within 14 days from

date of invoice less 2% cash discount or net, within 30 days from date of invoice.In case of full payment in advance 3 % cash discount on the net value of the mer-chandise will be granted. All invoices for an amount of less than 200,00 as wellas for repairs and services are payable immediately net upon receipt of invoice.

c) For export orders, unless otherwise agreed, an irrevocable letter of credit shall be established through a first class bank to be confirmed by a german bank, payableagainst first presentation of shipping documents, whereby all banking fees andcharges shall be to purchaser’s account. Payments in foreign currency will beaccounted at the current exchange rate to purchaser’s risk. All fluctuations of theexchange rate, as well as banking fees and charges shall be borne by the pur-chaser and shall be due for immediate payment.

d) Should the agreed terms of payment be exceeded, interest at the rate of 8% abovethe prevailing basic interest rate of the European Central Bank will be charged.

e) frasaco reserve the right to refuse payment by cheques or rediscountable billsof exchange which may only be accepted subject to its subsequent payment. All corresponding fees, especially discount charges, shall be born by the purchaser.

f) The purchaser shall not be entitled to exercise rights of compensation or retentionagainst frasaco’s claims.

g) Should the purchaser fail to comply with the terms of payment, or should circum-stances arise which cast serious doubts on his creditworthyness, all claims offrasaco shall become due immediately.

9. Moulds (Tooling)a) The prices for moulds are to be understood inclusive of production cost for one set

of samples, however, exclusive of any cost for testing and treatment appliances;alterations required by the purchaser are not included. The production cost for ad-ditionnally required samples shall be borne by frasaco if the reasons for this requestare imputable to frasaco.

b) Unless otherwise agreed, frasaco shall be and remain owner of any moulds madefor the purchaser by frasaco or by third party to frasaco’s order. Moulds will only be used for the purchaser’s order as long as the purchaser meets his obligationsof payment and reception of delivery. frasaco shall only replace these moulds freeof charge if so required to produce the ascertained manufacturing quantity.frasaco’s obligation to store the moulds shall expire two years after the last deli-very of parts out of these moulds and after prior notification of the purchaser.

c) If it is agreed that the purchaser should become owner of the moulds, title of themoulds shall pass to the purchaser upon payment of the correspondingsales price. frasaco’s obligation to deliver the moulds to the purchaser shall be sub-stituted by its obligation to keep it in safe custody. frasaco shall mark the moulds as being third party property and shall have it insured upon request of the pur-chaser to purchaser’s expense.

d) Where the moulds are the purchaser’s property and/or where moulds have been loaned by the purchaser to frasaco, frasaco’s liability as to safe storage and main-tenance shall be limited to the care as adopted in its own affairs. frasaco’s obli-gations shall elapse if, after completion of the order and upon frasaco’s request themoulds are not collected by the purchaser within a reasonable time. As long as thepurchaser has not fully met his contractual obligations, frasaco shall, in any case,have a lien on the moulds.

10.Materials placed at frasaco’s disposala) In case where materials are to be placed at frasaco’s disposal, the purchaser shall

deliver them to frasaco in good time with an excess in quantity of at least 5% inperfect condition and at purchaser’s expense and risk.

b) If the purchaser fails to comply with these conditions frasaco shall be entitled to areasonable extension of the delivery time. Other than in case of force majeure, anyadditonal cost shall be borne by the purchaser, including those which may arisefrom interruptions of production.

11.Patent Rightsa) In cases where frasaco is to produce in accordance with drawings, models or pat-

terns, or to use parts placed at its disposal by the purchaser, the purchaser gua-rantees for third party proprietary rights not being infringed. frasaco will draw thepurchaser’s attention to existing rights which are known to frasaco. The purchasershall hold frasaco harmless against third party claims and remedy any damagewhich may be caused. If a third party prohibits frasaco to continue manufacture ordelivery on the strength of an alleged patent right frasaco shall, without in-vestigation of the legal situation, be entitled to suspend the work.

b) Any drawing or patterns sent to frasaco which do not lead to an order shall be re-turned upon purchaser’s request; otherwise, frasaco shall be entitled to destroythem three months after submission of quotation.

c) All copyrights and, if applicable, industrial property rights in any models, moulds,tooling or equipment, sketches and drawings produced by frasaco or by a thirdparty to frasaco’s order shall belong to frasaco.

12.Place of Fulfilment and Jurisdictiona) The place of fulfilment for both parties to the contract shall be Tettnang.b) Court jurisdiction for both parties shall be Tettnang, frasaco reserve, however, the

right to institute proceedings against the purchaser at the competent court ofpurchaser’s domicile.

c) German law shall exclusively be applicable.
