Mobile Magic – Need Analysis Calculators

Locate MM-NAC

Open the Applications folder

(Depending on the make & model of your handset, this may be some other folder such as Installations in Nokia E-63)

How to start MM-NAC


Launch MM-NAC

Select & Open the MM-NAC application

Center Button

In most handsets, the center button is available which acts like the ENTER key of the PC keyboard. You can also use this button to open the MM-NAC application.

This screen will appear for a few seconds while the application is being loaded


Terms & Conditions

Go through the Terms of use and press this button to accept the terms & continue


Select the feature

Use this to scroll through the menu options & press the Select button to open the feature

Quick HLVQuick HLV is an excellent tool to identify GAP in the life insurance level of an individual. By entering simple inputs, you can calculate the complex Human Life Value (HLV) in split of a second. Follow the instructions as explained on this and subsequent slide to benefit from this tool.

How to use this tool

1. Enter the Name of the prospect

2. Select the Gender from the drop-down

3. Enter the Present Age of the prospect

4. Enter the expected Retirement Age or in other words the age up to which the prospect’s family will be dependant on his income

5. Enter the present Annual Expenses of the family to support their basic needs & to maintain their lifestyle

6. Enter the Inflation Rate (%) which will cause the expenses to rise every year

7. Enter the Annual Rate of Interest(%) which prospect’s savings can earn

8. Now scroll down for more inputs (refer to next slide)

9. Enter the amount of savings that the prospect already has.

10. Enter the amount of Life insurance cover that the prospect is currently protected with

11. If you want a What if Analysis in the result then select YES. “What if Analysis” will indicate for how long the family will remain protected with current level of savings & insurance cover, if unfortunately the prospect is no more with them to take care of their needs.

12. Now Press the Calculate button to process the HLV Result

Quick HLV Result

Based on the inputs provided, the HLV is calculated & displayed on this screen. HLV takes into account the yearly amount that will be needed by the prospect’s family till his retirement age and calculates the corpus that will help sustain the family’s need for so many years.

You also get an indication of how much will the current savings + insurance amount last for the family.

SMS Option

Press this button if you want to send this result to the prospect by SMS or press the Back button to go back to the inputs screen.


Message Size Alert

You will be informed about the size of the text message and the no. of SMS that will be charged for sending this result to you prospect. Press OK button to proceed further or press the Back button to go back to the Calculated Result screen.

Enter Mobile number of the Prospect and press Send button to send calculated Result as a SMS.






4. Enter the expected Retirement Age or in other words the age up to which the prospect will create wealth through his income

5. Enter the Current Annual Income of the Prospect

6. Enter the Annual Tax paid by the Prospect as per his annual income


Wealth Potential Analysis

Wealth Potential Analysis helps you to identify the potential of

future wealth creation by an individual. Accordingly it suggests

the life insurance amount that is needed to protect this future

wealth. This amount can ensure that in case of untimely death of

the individual, his family will not be deprived of the wealth which

he would have otherwise produced, had he been alive.

13. Now Press the Calculate button to process the Wealth Potential Result

Based on the inputs provided, the Wealth Potential is calculated & displayed on this screen.

Also indicated is the Additional Insurance Amount that is needed by the prospect to safeguard his future wealth for his family.

Retirement Need AnalysisAs the name suggests, this is a tool to help you determine how much pension your prospect will need when he decides to retire. Ignoring this analysis for the prospect can lead to serious issues in future such as inadequate corpus created to generate the desired pension and thereby compelling him to compromise in the quality of his retired life

It also calculates the corpus needed to meet the pension needs of the prospects.

How Far is my GoalBased on simple inputs, this tool will help you determine, how far (in terms of years & months) your prospect is from his goal of reaching an X amount. .


1. Enter the Goal Amount of the prospect

2. Enter the Current Saving Balance that the prospect already has

3. Enter the Monthly Saving amount managed by the Prospect

4. Enter the Annual Rate of Interest(%) which his savings can earn

5. Now Press the Calculate Button to process the How Far is my Goal Result


How Far is my Goal Result

Based on the inputs provided, How Far is my Goal is calculated & displayed on this screen.

The duration to reach Goal is represented in years and months for easy understanding.

Savings NeededThis is the opposite of How far is my goal tool. Here the period and goal is known and the tool will determine the amount of savings that is needed per month to reach the specified goal in the specified time frame.


1. Enter the Goal Amount of the prospect

2. Enter the Current Saving Balance that the prospect already has

3. Enter the No of Years in which the Prospect wants to achieve the Goal

4. Enter the Annual Rate of Interest(%) which his savings can earn

5. Now Press the Calculate Button to process the Savings Needed Result

Based on the inputs provided, Savings Needed is calculated & displayed on this screen.

Yield CalculatorThis is a handy IRR calculator which will indicate the interest rate that your investment can give you. Very useful to illustrate the returns from a life insurance policy or .a SIP in a mutual fund scheme


1. Enter the Investment Period. i.e. the no. of years for which the investment will be made.

2. Enter the Amount that will be invested every year in the investment period

3. Enter the No of Years after which the maturity amount will be paid back to you.

4. Enter the Maturity Amount expected on maturity date

5. Now Press the Calculate Button to process the Yield Result

Based on the inputs provided, the Yield (IRR) is calculated & displayed on this screen.

Fixed Deposit CalculatorAs the name itself suggests, this tool will help you calculate the maturity value of a fixed deposit based on the term, interest rate and compounding mode


1. Enter the Amount to be Investment

2. Enter the Term for which the deposit will be held

3. Select the Unit of the term – Years, Months or Days. The term entered above becomes meaningful alongwith this field. For e.g. for 180 days deposit enter 180 in term and select days as the unit

4. Enter the Annual Rate of interest that your FD will earn

5. Select the compounding mode for the interest – Yearly, Half Yearly, Quarterly or Monthly

6. Now Press the Calculate Button to process the Fixed Deposit Maturity
