Moanalua Middle School SYMPHONIC BAND Central District Band Festival — SOUTH PARADE OF BANDS Dear Parents and Students, Date: Saturday, February 24, 2018 Location: Radford High School Gym Meeting Times: 4:45 p.m. Meet at Radford High School Gym (No busses provided) 5:45 p.m. Mass Band rehearsal – sit in bleachers w/folding stands 6:30 p.m. Doors Open to the Public Concert Time: 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. (approximate end time) 10:00 p.m. Pick up your child from Radford High School Attire: The Symphonic Band aloha shirt, long black pants, white undershirt, long black socks and black shoes Food: Eat BEFORE you arrive at Moanalua High School VEIW THE PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE ON THE MMS BAND WEBSITE. The signed Parent/Legal Guardian Authorization for Student Participation and Travel form will count as a homework grade. If you do not return this letter by the due date you cannot perform at the CDBF South Parade of Bands. Furthermore, please note that we require ALL band students to remain throughout entire duration of this event in support of their peers. All students shall help clean up after the concert. If your child will be late or must leave early, we require that you provide a signatory note with a valid reason one day prior to the event. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Letter Date: Thursday, February 1, 2018 The CDBF South Parade of Bands will showcase six schools from the Central District of O‘ahu. The South participating schools are Aliamanu Middle, Radford High, Moanalua Middle, Moanalua High, Aiea Intermediate, Aiea High, and followed by a massed band selection. Two adjudicators will critique and provide an evaluation to each band.
