COSN riding results by the numbers Central Okanagan-Similkameen- Nicola Conservative candidate Dan Albas returns to Ottawa on our behalf after receiving 24,425 votes, 39.5% of the ballots cast in Monday’s election. Liberal Karley Scott came a close 2nd with 23,028 votes (37.3%). Then NDP An- gelique Wood with 11,939 votes (19.3 %) and the Green Party’s Robert Mellalieu with 2,428 votes (3.9%) Voter turnout was higher on Monday than during the 2011 election, with 61,820 of the 86,093 registered electors (71.81%) voting — not including electors who reg- istered on election day. Nationally, voter turnout was up a few percentage points, as 17,559,353 of 25,638,379 registered electors (68.49 %) voted — not including those who regis- tered on election day — compared to 61.1% overall in the 2011 election. Two years on… Dean Kelly Morrison went missing on Octo- ber 22, 2013 from Stump Lake Ranch, and he has not been seen or heard from in two years. Dean was a housepainter by trade, but his passion was in politics. He was a member of the New Democratic Party, and he ran in two elections for the Langley Riding: BC General elections 2005, and the Canada Federal elections 2004. Dean is greatly missed by his mother elizabeth Faber, his three children Paz, Ani, & edie Morrison-Rainville, and many other family members and friends.
