The 2014 conference will be held at the Roland E. Powell
Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland. The host hotel (where
the opening night reception and conference kick-off will occur) is
the Princess Royal on 91st Street in Ocean City. The conference
will be October 5 – 7, 2014 and we are expecting more than 350
participants. The conference – and the exceptional venues – is a
great value to human resource professionals from Maryland and

of this event. The Sponsorship opportunities available this year
provide a wide range of access to the region’s top HR

There are four (4) distinct levels of sponsorship. Each level has
been carefully considered to meet the budgetary constraints of the
diverse partners we serve. Sponsorships are offered on a first -
come, first-serve basis. We also welcome donations other than

prize to our attendees.

Naval Academy’s 4th Distinguished Chair of
Leadership
Lieutenant General John F. Sattler brings 37 plus years
of Marine Corps experience in leadership, command and
staff positions, jointness, interagency coordination,
strategic planning, congressional liaison, strategic
communication and team building to the Team.
Subsequent to his retirement in 2008, he spent the next
two years as a senior mentor with both the Marine Corps
and Joint Forces Command. He currently sits on a
number of boards and is honored to hold the Leadership
Chair in the Vice Admiral James Stockdale Ethical
Leadership Center at the US Naval Academy.

Important Notice
Maryland SHRM is providing discounted hotel accommodations through the
Princess Royale in Ocean City, Maryland at significantly reduced prices for
the season. We are able to keep costs down for the conference when you
choose to utilize this designated hotel.
Plus as an added bonus the Opening Night Reception will be hosted at the
Princess Royale and a shuttle will be provided from the Princess Royale to
the Fager’s Island Deck Party on Monday night so no driving is necessary!
There are no parking fees and ample garage parking is available. To register
for the hotel at the contracted discounted rate you must contact the Princess
Royale directly at (800) 476-9253 and they will be able to meet your
registration needs.

Sponsorship/ Vendor Cancellation Policy: Once payment has been made in full there will be no refund provided.
The Conference Committee reserves the right to cancel any sponsorship opportunity at any time upon default by the vendor in payment of bills or event of any other breach of these terms and conditions by the vendor.
If there are any changes to this contract after submission, a change order must be completed and approved by the Conference Committee prior to the fulfillment of advertising and/or sponsorship opportunity.
Maryland SHRM State Council will be responsible for planning, production, and on-site supervision of all sponsorship.
