Editor's Desk

Greetings!

Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women was

established in 1972 by Dr.K.N.V.Sastri, noted scholar,

author and professor in Indian History and Politics, for

furthering the cause of women’s education in North Banga-

lore. The far-sighted vision of the founder has resulted in

ment of young women. Currently with a strength of over

2000 students, the college offers main stream courses in

puter Applications. Various add-on courses and value-

added programmes are also offered to enable holistic devel-

opment of personality.

During the last three months, a series of activities were

conducted with huge success. These include the orientation

for students, teachers, Freshers Day, Students’ Association

Election, Teachers Day, Ganesha festival, Pragathi,

Kalakriya and activities conducted by NCC and NSS. This

quarter also witnessed the teaching faculty and students

making a mark for themselves as achievers in their chosen

fields.

On behalf of mLAC community, I would like to express my

gratitude to Mr. K. Jairaj, our Managing Trustee who

sowed the seed of thought in bringing out this digital

newsletter.

My special thanks to Dr. Manjula K for compiling the

newsletter and Ms. Mamatha M for contributing to the
