New High-voltage Combination Starters open the Next Generation with Electronics Technology for Safety, High Density Modules and High Quality.

Production systems always require high-level of control information. Mitsubishi, a leading manufacturer of the combination starters, launches multi-electronic-controller models of new age, which can supply the high level information timely and in a simple manner.

The new vacuum contactor VZ-D is mounted, which is receiving user's reputation of reliable performance.

1. The standard construction of the withdrawable type is class M4 of JEM1225.

2. The cables chamber is separated from the busbar compartment to facilitate a safe cable connection.

3. External withdrawable type is externally operated connection and disconnection safely with the door closed.

■Functional construction classes

The apparatus shall be arranged in the earthed metal-enclosure.

Further, low voltage devices such as low voltage fuses which would be approached daily for (the normal purpose of) inspection and maintenance shall be so arranged as to prevent an accidental contact with the live parts of main circuit to allow safe inspection and maintenance. Also, PFs and MCs housing placed between the tiers of the multi-tiered CBSs and between the one vertical sections shall be provided with the metallic partitions or insulating partitions.

Further, the live parts of main circuit shall be so arranged as to prevent an accidental touch with it when the instrument and control board is opened. And the disconnecting device of source side shall be so arranged as to prevent an unconscious contact.

Further, the portion which houses PFs and MCs shall be separated from the live parts of source side and other connecting conductors of feeders by partition.The one vertical sections shall be separated each other by partition excepting the passages of busbar.

Further, the live parts of source side including a busbar and connecting conductors of feeders shall be separated by partition, or they shall be insulated so that the live parts may not be exposed.

PFs and MCs shall be the fixed type, and PFs shall be the disconnecting type or it shall have a disconnector.

PFs and MCs shall be mounted on the same carriage.CBSs shall be the withdrawable type arranged with a self coupling main circuit disconnecting device, and a manual coupling auxiliary circuit disconnecting device.

An interlock device shall be provided to prevent closing and opening of the main circuit disconnecting device beyond its own closing and opening capacity.

●The drawout type unit is equipped with a variety of interlock mechanisms as safety devices for the cart and the door.●The description of interlock mechanisms varies depending on the operation method (internal or external).

When VMC is ON, the unit cannot be drawn out of the operational position.

When VMC is ON, the unit cannot be put in the operational position.

When the unit is between the operational and test position, VMC cannot be turned ON.

When the operation handle is attached, VMC is turned OFF.

The operation handle cannot be drawn out in an intermediate position.

The door cannot be opened when in the operation position.

The unit cannot be inserted while the door is open.
