ExperienceEmergency Response Coordinator – FIFOMarch 2015 - CurrentCB&I Kentz Joint Venture (CKJV) (Gorgon MEIC Barrow Island)ScopeThe CB&I/Kentz Joint Venture contract on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, expended over 39.5 million man hours on BWI with a total workforce of 5,900 employees and contractors. The contract scope of work included the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support for the construction of three LNG process trains including associated infrastructure such as utilities, domestic gas processing and compression plant.
DutiesResponsibilities of my role as Emergency Response Coordinator are;
Delivery of First Response Team skills maintenance training Maintain all emergency & medical equipment including registers. Respond to and control Medical emergencies Coordinate & conduct rescues from heights and confined spaces Coordinate & conduct initial gas testing for confined space entry Develop high risk rescue plans for permit to work system. Develop and perform Emergency Coordination Team (ECT) table top exercise
scenarios. Establish and maintain Emergency Response Stations at work fronts site wide. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice to Leadership, Management, Supervision
and Work teams. Deliver challenge test training & assessment of gas monitoring equipment. Conduct & audit quarterly site wide Building Muster & Evacuation procedures. Chair CKJV Cyclone Preparedness and Response Committee meetings. Develop and maintain Emergency Response Department Key Performance
Indicator registers. Provide transport of injured persons to Chevron Medical Centre.
