One Challenge Our Challenge is Participation:
The people of Counties Manukau participate:• in tertiary education at a level that is 43% of the national level;• in polytechnic education at the level of 72% of the national level;• in university education at the level of 3% of the national level.• In Counties Manukau about 68% of school leavers are not qualified
to enter a degree programme or many diploma programmes.
MIT’s challenge and goal is to increase participation by the peoples of Counties Manukau to 7500 SAC EFTS by 2013.
