Island Revival

• It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him healed him.

• And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured.

• Acts 28:8-9

Matthew 8:14-17

• When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.

• He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.

• When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

Healing in the Atonement

• 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”–(see Isaiah 53:4)

Romans 8:28

• And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
