Doreen Boxer, a veteran criminal defense attorney, has served her community as a county public defender. She now serves as a board member with the National Women's Political Caucus of Orange County, and is currently the organization's vice president of political action. In this role, Ms. Boxer conducts outreach and support for women political candidates.

Since 1973, the National Women's Political Caucus has provided resources and support for women running for public office. The organization now includes local and state caucuses in 38 of the 50 United States, including California. In Southern California, the Orange County caucus seeks, trains, and supports female candidates for offices at the local, state, and federal level.

The Orange County Caucus follows the mission of the National Women's Political Caucus of California, which strives to increase the presence of women in the political process. In pursuing this mission, the Caucus works to identify potential candidates and train them for success as political candidates. The Caucus believes that its success will be evident when women have secured equality in all areas of life, including family planning and the workplace, and when other biases such as racism and ableism have disappeared in kind.

As Vice President of Political Action, Ms. Boxer has worked with several women political candidates.
