READINGS FOR THE WEEK

PARISH NEWS

THERE WILL BE NO FIRST SUNDAY POTLUCK TODAY DUE TO UPCOMING OKTOBERFEST

Fr. Ryan and Fr. Ranjan will be attending the Fall Priestly convocation next week, so there will be NO MASSES ON Tuesday, October 8th, Wednesday, October 9th & NO 8am Mass Thursday, October 10th . Regular schedule will resume with the

12:05pm Mass on Thursday, October 10th.

From The Pastor’s Desk

When I was a boy I attended a rather large suburban parish & yet I felt like I knew my pastor well. Admittedly, with thousands of families, he didn’t know me from Adam but I felt

as though I knew him. This wasn’t because I spoke with him, listened to his homilies, or was attentive at church, but because on the way home I’d read his short little messages in

the “From the Pastor’s Desk” section of the bulletin. After every Sunday Mass I’d await two things: donuts and reading his note. It was my Catholic version of the Sunday comics and, over time, I slowly grew to know the voice of the shepherd. As your pastor I’d like to start that tradition here, to offer something similar to my boyhood pastor, short little devotional

notes to help connect your Sunday to the weekday and occasionally give updates and explain the ongoings of the parish.
