Creating a new presentation

• To create a blank presentation simply click on the file menu select new and then select a blank presentation.

• Every time you need to add a slide to yourpresentation click on the Insert menu, and then select new slide

• You are given a selection of AutoLayout slides. Choose the layout which bests suits your.

• Using the formatting toolbar the layout of a presentation can easily be manipulated.

• Font size and Styles can be changed Different Bullet Styles can be applied • Pictures can be inserted using clipart.

Presentation Consistency

• In order to give a sense of uniformity to a presentation it is important that layout consistency be observed throughout the presentation.

• This can be achieved by utilizing Slide Master.

• Slide Master controls the format and placement of the titles and text you type on the slide.

• Varying design templates can be used to give your presentation a more professional look and feel.• To apply a template click on the Format Menu,

then select apply design.• From here you can choose a suitable design

template for your presentation.

Auto Content Wizards.

• We also looked at the AutoContent Wizard.• The Wizard allows you to construct your

presentation based on a variety of suggested formats.

• This can be very helpful in speeding up the design of a large presentation.

Inserting Objects.

• From the drawing toolbar provided a number of different shapes can be inserted into a presentation.

• Select a from range of shapes on the toolbar and simply click and drag them onto to where you want them to appear on the slide.

Slide Show Presentation• To view your presentation as a slide showgo to the Slide Show menu and select View Show.• To add a transition, again, now select Slide

Transition.• Here you can select the type of transition effect

you desire plus the speed you want it at. You can apply your transition to individual or all slides in the presentation.
