Romania has a long tradition in this sport with good results in international competitions in the interwar period and shortly after the Second World War.

Romanian championsOne of the best champions was Felix Topescu. Felix was an exceptional athlete who brought honor to our country on several occasions. He was part of the Romanian national team riding at the Olympics in Berlin in 1936.

At presentIn Romania there are 18 horse riding clubs. One of these is Stud Farm in Mangalia on the Black Sea shore. There is also a hippodrome here, the only one in the country especially conceived for gallop races.
