Every 20” wheel bike we make features CRMO tubing in the frame and fork. You won’t find that feature on any competing brand.

WE OFFER BETTER SERVICE AND SUPPORT- Mirraco is distributed by Trek, the industry leader. No other BMX com-pany can provide the same level of dealer service and support. Remember, making money in this category requires more than having a few good looking BMX bikes on the floor.

WE DON’T ALLOW MAIL ORDER SALES ON COMPLETE BIKES- Its hard enough making money in this business without mail-order sales eroding profits and devaluing your inventory. Your customers won’t find Mirraco bikes in mail-order catalogs or online. Very few BMX brands can make that claim.

MIRRA IS THE MOST RECOGNIZED NAME IN BMX- Mirra is a name virtually every BMX rider knows and respects. Even though Dave is still winning major contests, our success isn’t dependent on his ongoing success; we have a talented young team and aggressive promotions to create demand and drive customers into your store.

Some Tips On Selling UpWhether you’re selling to parents or kids, this manual is designed to make selling up logical and easy. On the following pages you’ll find the 2011 Mirraco line broken out into the four major categories needed to address virtually every BMX customer’s needs. As shown in the example below, we start with the base model in each of those categories then explain what you get when spending a little more to get the next model up. Not that there’s anything wrong with the base models, but selling up provides more profit for you and a better bike/experience for the consumer.

1. Don’t assume you’re the expert when talking BMX to a potential buyer. Being perceived as condescending or overly authoritative will remind him of his parents. If possible, have a young, knowledge able BMX rider working in the store who can relate. It can make a huge difference.

2. Have the detailed specs in this booklet handy or know where to find them. There’s no way to memorize every spec for every bike on the floor, but a discerning customer will look at every detail and every part. If you don’t know the answer to a question, don’t make one up. Call us, or use the resources on mirrabikeco.com to get the answers.

3. Remember, as hard as it can be to communicate with the average fifteen year-old, these are customers who ride frequently and are hard on their bikes. That translates into repeat business and increased profits.

Customer ProfileThe median age of a BMX rider is fifteen, but they range from five to twenty six years old. 99% of them are male. They are generally very opinionated, have extensive product knowledge, and are passionate about the sport. Aside from their age and the type of bike they’re into, they’re no different than the hard-core roadies and mountain bikers you love to have as customers.

Selling to ParentsOur youngest consumers often require the help of parents to select and purchase a BMX bike. When you’re dealing with a practical and fiscally responsible Mom or Dad there are a few things to keep in mind:

• These bikes aren’t cheap, so point out the vast difference in value and quality between a cheaper mass- market bike and a Mirraco.

• They’ll have some concerns about little Johnnie wrecking his bike and getting hurt, so point out the durability and safety that results from engineering and testing that exceeds CPSC standards.

• Some parents may not know about Dave Mirra or Mirraco, so point out the status that comes built-in with the brand founded by the sports most recoginzed and decorated athlete.

Selling to BMXersOur targeted consumers may be young, but they’re not dumb when it comes to BMX. These guys get their information from websites, blogs, magazines, and peers on a regular basis. They’re into it and they’re like sponges when it comes to gathering information about their sport and the products they plan to buy. If you’re not 100% sure of your knowledge, admit it and do a lot more listening than talking. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
