This stateoftheart, fullyequipped facility provides a gymnasium, fitness center, classrooms, dance rooms, lecture rooms, office space, laundry areas, multipurpose areas and a concession stand. It is the third phase of a 32acre complex that includes a threepool aquatics center and multisport ball fields. The facilities serve college students through athletics and instructional program offerings and area residents through Park & Recreation activities. The project is designed to obtain a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). Sustainability Features High energy performance of the building envelope and HVAC elements by adding additional insulation at roofs and walls, adding lighting occupancy sensors, and air handlers for the HVAC units that tili l i d i t id i utilize cool morning and evening outsideair. Highefficiency irrigation system uses reclaimed water to support droughttolerant landscaping. Combined with waterless and lowflow plumbing fixtures, the Field House saves hundreds of thousands of gallons of water compared to a typicallybuilt project.
