The new McMaster Marauder Loyalty Mobile App is the ticket to rewards at McMaster University. The new mobile app, launced on August 23rd, is the McMaster fan’s new tool to receive free and discounted items all over the campus. Fans and the public alike are also able to view live streaming of Marauder sports events, as well as social and news feeds, schedules for recreation and photos.

The app utilizes location-based software and allows users to check in to pre-determined locations that could be anywhere on the McMaster campus including the Athletic Centre, Campus Pubs, The Campus Store and many others. Each location earns you maroon points, specific to each business which can be redeemable at participating locations such as free admittance into Basketball and Volleyball games. It is an activity based event loyalty app. This means the more you use it, the more points you can earn, which can later be redeemed.

The Marauders have also partnered with many off campus locations and users can receive special deals at a variety of different locations. “The App brings together the University and community while rewarding our fans for doing things that they already do,” says Parrish Offer, Manager of Marketing, Communications & Sponsorship for Athletics & Recreation. The App has been a collaborative effort of McMaster University, Weever Apps and Fantags of Toronto.

“We are pleased to work with McMaster Marauders

to develop their first mobile app,” says Tim Richard, Co-Founder and VP Sales of Weever Apps Inc. “This app takes ‘gamification’ to a whole new level, while able to view sporting events in real time!”The web based app can be viewed at: weeverapp.com/app/marauders.myweeverapp.com
