Minxx Industries

Minxx Industries is a women’s underwear brand, which has launched its first range of women’s undergarments. A total of 8 designs have been created incorporating a lipstick textured font and heart graphic, as well as a touch of lace to each of their designs.

Minxx strives to differentiate itself from its competitors by creating a range of underwear that is edgy, unique and creative. A number of underwear stores such as Cotton on Body, and Bras and Things have a variety of styles available, however they either come under the classification of being a basic or an intimate, rather than combining the two, which is what Minxx aims to do. We want to produce underwear that is affordable, comfortable, and has that something extra.

The Minxx underwear range is aimed predominantly at women. The age bracket of which we intend to sell our product too ranges from 16-24 due to the style and nature of our designs. However, this does not limit women outside of this age bracket.

At this current point in time, Minxx has a very limited range of resources available in order to create and distribute their product to the general public. In terms of human resources, there are two people, which assist in the daily functioning of product design and distribution. With regards to finances, a figure of $500 has been set aside in order to assist with the start-up of the business, and to produce the first line of underwear until profits are made from their sales. No physical re-sources are currently owned by the business. The underwear itself is purchased from an international supplier overseas, and shipped to Australia in bulk, the designs are then screen printed onto the back of the undergarments by a local screen printer on the Gold Coast.

Minxx Industries will continue to design and produce creative and unique underwear, whilst venturing into different terri-tory with relevance to aspects such as different styles of undergarments, and utilizing different materials. They will also look further into the creation of matching bras, as well as the development of a sleepwear range. Currently, the underwear is available to purchase through the Minxx facebook page, as well as online presence on Etsy. In the near future Minxx will look into the development of its own website and online store to further market their product.

Minxx Joins Fight Against Ovarian Cancer!

Queensland underwear brand Minxx industries will be partnering with Ovarian Cancer Australia, to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research, by creating a range of teal underwear with 10% of proceeds being donated to the AOCS organization. Australian Ovarian Cancer Study (AOCS) has supported over 60 projects in Australia to investigate lifestyle, environmental and genetic risk factors for ovarian cancer, and the molecular genetic changes in ovarian cancer cells.

AOCS has been made possible through the collaboration of clinicians, nurses, pathologists and scientists throughout Australia and the willingness of thousands of women who participate in the program striving to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer.

Founding director Simon lee from Ovarian Cancer Australia says that the organisation aims to educate women about risks and symptoms so that they seek early medical advice giving them a greater chance at life. With the assistance and support of Minxx Industries, this can be made possible.

Minxx has created a range of underwear inspired by the teal ovarian cancer ribbon. This range will be launched on the 8th May 2013, which will be the first annual ovarian cancer day. 10% of proceeds from every pair of underwear sold will be donated to the ovarian cancer organisation to support women and their families affected by ovarian cancer, and its national research program.
