New Committee Roles
Last week committee members voted on who is to be the new;

Today we will find out the remaining results of the elections
Chairperson
Last week we found out that the new Chairperson of the Voice for All Committee is Clare Whittle. The results of who is going to be the new Vice Chairperson are in!
Vice Chairperson We are pleased to announce that Becky Gammon received the most votes and is duly elected Vice Chairperson of Voice for All. Congratulations and good luck Becky!
Assistant Secretaries Last week we found out that the Assistant Secretaries of the Voice for All Committee are Ann Riding, Becky Gammon, Lianne Wilkinson and Chris Clegg
Treasurers Following last week’s election, we are pleased to announce that the 3 people who received the most votes and duly elected as Treasurers of Voice for All are Lizzie McClennan, Chris Wren and Richard Cattley Lizzie, Chris and Richard will help and assist Clare and John with Voice for All’s Budget and Finances
Minutes of last meeting The new Assistant Secretaries Ann, Becky and Chris C, all assisted Bob in reading out and sharing with the committee the minutes from last week’s meeting held on 11
th January.
The Committee members were asked to show their green or red cards to say they were happy or unhappy with the minutes. Everyone showed their green cards to approve and accept the minutes.
John was asked to send out the minutes on behalf of Voice for All and distribute them to all areas.

The next Facilitators meeting was confirmed for Thursday 18
th February
2016 at 1.30pm in the meeting room in Reception at Lisieux Hall
Voice for All Planning Day Agenda for 22

John showed us the agenda and format from last year’s Planning Day 2015 which included;
Voice for All’s Ground Rules
Celebrating Voice for All’s achievements and successes
Reviewing our Action Plan – Previous year
Developing our Action plan – Coming year
Voting on important and priority work and issues
We all agreed that the agenda and format of the 2015 Planning Day worked really well and we will do something similar this year. We will agree the agenda at a future meeting
Crowdfunding
We agreed last week that we would like to make a video for this online method of raising funds for Voice for All.
To help us, we watched a video we made to nominate Becky Gammon for the Derek Russell North West Outstanding Leadership Award.

POST
Valentines Disco
There will be Live Music, Disco, Bar and Hot Pot Supper. Tuesday 9
th February 7pm-10pm
at St Joseph’s Club, Harpers Lane, Chorley. Only £10 a ticket. Everyone welcome! John has done a poster about the Valentines Disco and sent it to all our members, friends and colleagues.

EMAILS As Lianne wasn’t at the meeting today, Becky used the smart board to open up the emails and share the information.
New Voice for All Members Jill Nash has let us know that we have 3 new members. 3 people have recently joined the service. They are;

Heathers New Job Darron Grundy has sent us a letter and let us all know that Heather Vickerman is now the Regional Director of Care for the Brothers of Charity Services here in Lancashire. We wish Heather all the best in her new role.
Thank you to Voice for All We received a lovely photo and email from Andrea Glasspell from Wigan Council thanking Lizzie, Clare and John for their presentation about Advocacy and Voice for All at the Wigan Provider Forum meeting. Andrea said “The information and insight that you shared was very powerful and I am sure has given the providers in the room lots to think about, not only in terms of how they support their users to have a voice but also as you said how they go about supporting people to not just have a life but to have a great life!” Andrea has invited Voice for All to help them promote and develop Self Advocacy Services in Wigan in the future.
Congratulations and Well Done Becky John sent us an email to tell us about a two page article in the ‘Community Living’ magazine. The article is all about Becky Gammon and the fantastic work she and Voice for All have done in the area of Friendships, Sex and Relationships across Lancashire. Our thanks to our friend and colleague Sue Sharples for writing such a fantastic article and well done Becky!
Blackpool Advocacy Conference
John sent an email confirming who is going to Conference this year.
They are; Lizzie, Becky, Chris Clegg, Chris Wren, Jamie, John T, Chris Edens, Craig, Lianne, Shelley and Rebecca
Time Credits
Liz Beaver emailed us to tell us that she has ordered us all a Time Credit Booklet each. This will let us know where we can spend our Time Credits.
Also SPICE, who run the Time Credit System will look into developing easy read information following our suggestion.
Brockhall and Calderstones Hospitals
John sent out an email asking people to get in touch if they know of anyone who either lived or worked at Brockhall or Calderstones hospital. Voice for All are helping Pathways Associates with a project and some research.
Alan, John and George said they lived there and would be happy to share their stories and experiences.
If you know of anyone who lived or worked at Brockhall or Calderstones hospitals, please contact John Whitehead or any member of the Voice for All Committee.

LD Connect LD Connect is a new Social Media Group for people with a learning disability living in the Preston and Chorley and South Ribble areas. This is a great opportunity for people to safely get in touch, find new friends and enjoy social events and activities together. You can join or contact LD Connect by their website http://www.ldconnect.co.uk/ or at one of their meetings.
They meet every 3rd
Thursday of the month at Plungington Community Centre, Brook St, Preston PR1 7NB at 11.30am.

It is always very interesting and full of the latest news and stories.
