Department of Civil Engineering & Centre for sustainable
technologies for eco social resilience to global climate change
(CST-ERG) & Centre for water Resources engineering and

the Institution
TEQIP-II Coordinator presented comparative figures of TEQIP-II
Institutions for the parameters like number of programs that are
accredited or applied for, number of publications in refereed
journals, percentage of externally funded research and development
projects and consultancies in total revenue, transition rate of under
graduate study, status of autonomy, governance, and placement
rate. Members opined that the transmission rate and placement rate
could be enhanced by taking suitable remedial actions. Effort
should be made to collect information from premier institutions of
our state on aspects number of Ph. D.’s and patents so that
benchmarking can be done on wider basis.

total expenses (Registration Fee, Airfare, and Per Diem etc.)
amounting up to Rs.1,65,776/- under TEQIP-II to present a research
paper at 18th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and
Image Processing (ICPRIP-2016) from 24-25 Mar 2016 at Collins
Ave, Miami Beach, USA.
Members had issued No Objection for the above International

Status of Four Funds
TEQIP-II Coordinator thanked the management for the sanction of
Rs.56Lacs to be deposited in the Four funds as per NPIU norms. He
also informed the members that these funds will be made in the
form of Fixed Deposits and accumulated amount can be utilized for
the sustenance of project activities beyond the project period.

Disbursement Status of Funds
TEQIP-II Coordinator informed the members that the disbursement
status of the grant stands same from the previous BOG meeting.
However as the expenditure crossed the bench mark 65% of the
total grant (i.e. Rs. 277.07646 lakhs i.e., 69.27% as on 28 Dec
2015), GRIET TEQIP-II office sent a request along with an action
plan for additional grant of Rs. 2 Crore to the Central Project
Adviser, NPIU keeping a copy to SPFU Telangana on 28 December
2015.
Members directed the TEQIP-II Coordinator to inform the NPIU
about the delayed disbursements from the State Government that
affects the target results and successful implementation of the
project. They have also instructed to send a request letter to
Commissioner of Technical Education & State Project Advisor
(SPFUTS), Telangana, Hyderabad for the release of 4th & 5th
Installment Funds that amounts to Rs. 128 Lakhs and also
recommend our institute for additional grant.
