Prayer Requests

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

I have always loved to write. Even as young as second grade, I remember leaving a pencil

and paper beside my bed in case I woke up in the middle of the night with an idea for a

story. As I grew older, I enjoyed journaling. I often wrote about what I was reading in

my Bible or I wrote out my prayers. Since I’ve been a mom, I rarely write, and even when

I think I might like to write something, I have a hard time deciding what to write about. I

think this comes from having very little quiet time at this phase of my life.

Over the holiday weekend, I was able to take a little walk by myself, not far, but just long enough to be away from

all of the distractions of life for a few minutes. I was so aware of God’s presence with me on that walk. I wonder

how often I walk through life with God by my side, and the noise of life keeps me completely unaware of His pres-

ence. I pray that we will all be able to quiet the noise, to be still and know God.
