• The Sever Weather related to Typhoon or Tropical Cyclone information, Cambodia use the information through the GTS system, Numerical Weather Prediction product of GFS, Typhoon Warning Center and other sources from JMA Tropical Cyclone Information, TMD, Hong Kong observatory and ECMWF,KMA

Sever Weather Information Dissemination:

- Provide Severe Weather Note to Flood Center

- Official letter is Provided by Minister of Water

Resources and Meteorology.

- Provide the Bulleting for 3day forecast to public

Trough Media.

- Provide Weather Warning to local authority,

National Cambodian Disaster Management,

Cambodia Red Cross, Ministry of Interior,

Voluntary person, Media (Radio, TV, Newspaper).

- Provide Weather Warning to Website :www.cambodiameteo.com-

THE RESPONSE OF PLASH FLOOD DISASTER IN CAMBODIA2011

• In 2011,many parts of the country, especially Northeast and Northernprovinces, suffered to the flash flood caused

• by tropical storm “ Gamie ” .• Ministry of Water Resources And Meteorology• “MOWRAM ” issue warning information to relevant Agency.

Example : Red Cross, National Committee for Disaster Management “ NCDM ” taken action and reporting to the provinces by Mas Media, by Fax, by Phone in urgent case , by TV, Radio, Newspapers.

• NCDM takes not only to the provincial; it has been spreader to the communities, if in the remote area, they announce by using loud speaker to evacuate people on time
