Project Description: 1.Owns and manages a satellite's system that consists of two satellites (GEO) and two ground control stationTo provide the following services:•Aeronautical Services: (Mobile Communications for civil aviation's and airlines , Fixed Communications for civil aviation's, Navigation Payload).• Broadband Services Commercial Fixed Satellite Services (FSS).2.The range of the services:

Project Objective:

Navi SAT aims to bridge the gap in regional air traffic management services based on satellite in the region of Africa and the Middle East through a safe economically balanced satellite system, works to provide high-quality services and value for neighboring markets through:•Developments in communications services, navigation and air traffic management (CNS / ATM), and contribute in improving the safety and efficiency of air transport.•To provide a system that supports and enhances other systems, such as aviation systems and marine systems and land.•Reaching the best ranking supplier in terms of quality of service, effectiveness and cost of each system operators and users.•The maximum use of existing infrastructure.•Cover a large area (Africa and the Middle East) and to work with all the other systems.

Competitiveness:

1 - in the field of telecommunications and safety of air navigation services:

- Provide custom connection for communication of air safety

   - Availability of high- rate ( 99.99% ) , which achieve the demands of the International Organization of Civil Aviation

   - the ability to afford the communication costs by taking the advantage of complementary and commercial services for the project

   - To achieve the international character of the project through the allocation of services for the benefit of the Middle East and Africa

   - Cover the FIR for the Middle East and Africa as a whole

   - Compatible with global standards and check interoperability between different systems

Basic information

Project: Cairo Airport City

Project Description: 10 million m2 within the premises of Cairo Airport containing retail commerce areas, logistics area, a cargo terminal and an air trade free zone.

Project Targets: To maximize the profitability of assets within Cairo Airport’s premises using the global airport management philosophy of Airport City and to establish a free trade zone to serve the sea-air concept

The location: North eastern and south western areas of Cairo Airport intersection with Josef Tito Street

The source of sharing: Private partnership

The Model Bidding: PPP/BOT/DBOT ( starting with EOI under clear evaluation criteria – World Bank guidelines )

New power station within the premises of the project cooperated with the general electricity company (for energy )

(Tie – in ) on Nasr City and New Cairo for Water and sewage.

Master plan for the investment area at Cairo Airport:

The general outline of the investment area within the premises of Cairo Airport aimed to

achieve lot of goals:

- Achieve higher rates of economic benefits through the investments located in the territory of

the airport

- Realizing the concept of (Airport Cities philosophy) as it is the latest philosophy to maximize

the non-aviation returns supporting the transforming of Cairo Airport to be a hub airport

- Enabling Cairo Airport to achieve a successful investment in linking with variety fields

including: commercial; industrial; cultural educational; medical and recreational activities in

addition to all patterns which attracting the private investment.

makes Cairo Airport a high competitive hub in the context of his prime location among

the world continents and countries.

To achieve the following:

4.Estimate of infrastructure cost;

10 MILLION SQUARE METER divided into 4 units different size The cost investments

(18billion U.S.D implemented in phases according to the recommendation of this study

and our priorities to carry out the mega projects within 8 years .

This study expected to end by the end of Dec.2013 to begin offering with the begging of

2014.

Note that apart of these areas is Aero City 2.8 million m2 which is ready with all studies

to start immediately.

2- Cairo Airport City - Investment Area

• All investments are carried out in coordination between the civil aviation ministry and the investment ministry.

• All the investment area at Cairo airport is under the Prime minister decree number 3118/2009 and the decree of the investment ministry no 105 /2010 for the governing

council for these areas• The system of using these areas controlled by both the investment incentives for law no

8/1997 and the aviation law no 28/1981 modified by (136) .• Note that the study includes all information required to spare any factors may impede the

path of the investment process.

• All investments are carried out in coordination between the civil aviation ministry and the investment ministry.

• All the investment area at Cairo airport is under the Prime minister decree number 3118/2009 and the decree of the investment ministry no 105 /2010 for the governing
