October is Pastor Appreciation Month and Unity Missionary Baptist Church is praising God for our Pastor Harold Taylor and his wife Shirley Taylor. They came to us in February 2012 to "fill in". September 2012 he became our interim pastor. By July 2013. the Lord let him know that he was not to retire and he became our Pastor. We could not imagine our church without brother Harold Taylor & Shirley Taylor. Willetta Denise Anderson

Willetta Denise Anderson, 56 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was born March 27, 1963 in Malvern, Arkansas to Alice

Mitchell and Willie Oliver James.

Willetta passed away, peacefully with her loving husband, Andre by her side, on Monday, October 7, 2019, at Chi St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. She will forever be loved and missed by her husband, Andre Anderson; son, Eddie Tyrice Watkins; one daughter, Renecia Renee Bailey all of Hot Springs; mother, Alice James (Herbert); father, Willie James (Lillie); stepfather who raised her as his own, Albany Bailey all of Malvern; six brothers, Randy James (Sandra), Steve James, Albany J. Bailey (Dominique) all of Malvern, Gregory James (Tyredia) of Benton, Arkansas, Darrell James of Malvern and Terrance James

(Tonya) of Benton; six sis-ters, Cassandra Means (Brian) of Malvern, Cynthia James-Tate of Benton, Wanda Sue James and Toyenda Bailey both of Malvern; Alicia Bailey of Hot Springs and Keenya Bailey of Little Rock, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Telan Porter and Nekirian Watkins of Malvern, Tyson Watkins and Josiah Watkins of Hot Springs and a host of other relatives.

There will be a celebration of Life Service for Willetta at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at First Baptist Rockport Church, in Malvern. Her earthly body will be laid to rest at Masonic Cemetery, in Malvern. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Friday, October 11th, from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Brandon’s Mortuary in Malvern.

David Lee FinleyDavid Lee Finley, age 71

of Malvern passed away Tuesday October 8, 2019. He was born on March 22, 1948, in Malvern to Edward Lee and Betty Jane (Bridges) Finley. He was a graduate of Malvern High School, and retired from Cimco. David was an avid hunter, loved fishing, all the outdoors, and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lee Finley and grandson Dusty

Finley.Survivors include his

mother, Betty Jane Finley; son David Matthew Finley; daughters, Tracie Dyer, Shelley Finley Henson (Charlie Ramey), and Starr Finley all of Malvern; six grandchildren Derek Henson (Jordan), Blake Henson, Haley Dyer, Hannah Norwood (Aaron), Eli Finley, and Kylee Finley; five great-grandchildren Westyn Henson, Lilly Norwood, Coulter Henson, Holden Henson, Eden Henson, all of Malvern, Five brothers, Alan Finley (Brenda) of Hot Springs, Tony Finley (Jill), Tommy Finley (Darbi), Johnny Finley (Angie), and Jesse Finley all of Malvern; and two sisters Beverly Hill (Jack) of Texas and Laura George of Hot Springs.

Visitation will be Friday October 11, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Regency.

Funeral Services will be

Saturday, October 12, at 2:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Danny Dunlap officiating. Burial will be at Big Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Derek Henson, Blake Henson, Jack Hill, Taylor Finley, Josh Gatlin, and Adam Mahan.

Honorary pallbearer will be Eli Finley.

board of directors, a College of the Ouachitas Foundation Board Member, Malvern Downtown Development Corporation Board Member, Brickfest past board member, Lion’s Club member and past president, Hot Spring County Hospital Foundation Commit-tee Member, member of First Baptist Church, and a mem-ber of the Malvern Leopard Press Box Crew since 1980.
