Malton’s brand new Ministro® Flask has been a great success story;; one which we would like to share with you.
Firstly, in 2012, we approached one of the most talented in-flight product design-houses, called Factory Design, based in Londonand well-known for highly creative and innovative airline design.
We gave them a demanding and challenging design-brief, based upon what our biggest customer’s needs are for a safe, easy-to-use,easy to stow flask. Factory Design surprised us with their talent and ingenious creativity, professionalism and enthusiasm by coming up with a design, which took into account every facet and requirement right down to the very last detail. In fact it is packed with features, which surpass every other flask of its kind, on the market.
Meanwhile, we also spent more than 18 months talking to top airlines and developing ideas for the Ministro® Flask. Emirates later became the launch customer, quickly followed Etihad Airways and many others. The list of admirers and customers is growing bigger almost every week.
The feedback we have had all round to Ministro® has been so incredible;; cabin crews like it because it is so easy to use, it fits well on the cart easily, the lid screws on perfectly every time, the liquid-flow rate is good when pouring and because of the push-button lever and strong handle it is very safe to use. The wide-open neck makes it very easy to clean. Best of all, in terms of storage, 6 pcs will fit perfectly into a Standard Unit.
Most importantly, the passengers like it too, because the tea/coffee stays piping hot from the first serving to the last.
In terms of the number of cycles, it is still quite early to say, as Ministro® is relatively new still, but again, the results are indicating that it lasts far longer in service than any other stainless steel flask. One reason for this is because of the size and shape, these dimensions were carefully calculated to help to protect it, because each flask can be neatly stowed upright (6 pcs), in a standard SU container, which means they are properly protected.
Whereas other flasks, that are not the perfect size, get awkwardly and randomly stacked in odd spaces for which they were never designed to go. Therefore, ordinary flasks get easily scratched, dented and damaged. This just wont happen with Ministro® provided the cabin crew stow them properly in the SU.
The result was a flask that is perfect for every airline, and it is set to become the industry-standard for many years to come!
