Book of the Month
Instruments in the Redeemer's HandsMany of us would be relieved if God had placed our sanctification in the hands of trained professionals, but that simply is not the Biblical model. God's plan is that through the faithful ministry of every part, the whole body will grow to maturity in Christ.
On Sunday, February 9, the congregation of Tri-City Baptist Church voted on its deacon leadership. All twelve deacons were re-elected:

Pray For Us
Welcome What do you enjoy most about winter in Arizona?
Worship Psalm 90:1-12. Think about God’s perspective on time mentioned in these verses. Thank God for His guidance and control. Pray that, as v. 12 states, you will consider your days to gain wisdom.
WordJames 4:13-14. What improper attitude is James confronting in v. 13? In what ways do Christians today tend to do the same thing? Why is this so easy to do? According to v. 14, what is the problem with this perspective? How is “your life” described? What is the significance of that description? What personal applications can you draw from v. 14?
James 4:15-16. What should be our approach to planning and the future? What tendency do we need to be careful to avoid when saying “if the Lord wills?” Are there other spiritually sounding phrases that could also become clichés? What is God’s perspective on presumptuous planning?
James 4:17. What type of sin does this verse address? Are there things you know God wants you to do, but you have resisted?
Witness When you ponder the brevity of life, remember that we will all spend eternity somewhere. Pray that you will have opportunity to share the good news of salvation with those who do not know Christ. Look for opportunities to witness.

Peril of Presumptuous PlanningSpeaker: Pastor Ken Endean
Text: James 4:13-17
When you fail to acknowledge God in your everyday life, you...
I. Presume on an uncertain _____________________________________ .—vv. 13-14
II. Display an improper ___________________________________________.—vv. 15-16
III. Persist with intentional ___________________________________________ .—v. 17
Applied to your daily life:
• Personalize your ______________________________________________ in Christ.
• Verbalize your _________________________________________________ to Christ.
• Prioritize your ________________________________________________ for Christ.
To please the Lord, you must surrender your daily plans to Him.

Tuition Tax Credit
Please do not forget to take advantage of the Arizona Tuition Tax Credit. If you’re new to Tri-City, you might not be familiar with this incredible program.
It is one of the biggest ministries to our Tri-City Christian Academy families! Go to www.TOPSforKids.com for more information and to redirect your state tax dollars.
Singles are allowed to redirect up to $1,089 ($546 in the Original program and the overflow in the PLUS “Switcher” of $543).
Married couples can redirect up to $2,177 ($1,092 in the Original program and the overflow in the PLUS “Switcher” of $1,085).
All Arizona workers owe state taxes. Arizona allows singles and married couples to redirect their state tax dollars to a tuition tax credit organization like TOPS for Kids.
Donors take the “donated” money as a credit against the Arizona state taxes they owe when they file their state tax returns. Donors can recommend private schools or students they would like the money to go to. If left blank, the funds go to help low-income families with education costs.
