What is a minibeast?

What is a minibeast?
• A minibeast is a small animal.
• You can find them outside.
• There are thousands and thousands of different types of minibeasts.
• Some have no legs, like a worm.

2. Ladybugs go into hibernation in the winter.
3. Their spots warn off predators.

A day as a ladybug…
Close your eyes and I would like you to pretend you are a
ladybug. Think about where you would go.
What would you eat? Who would you meet? Where
do you live?
First talk about your ideas.
Draw pictures if it helps.
Write out any key words.

My name is Sam the ladybug. When I woke up today I was very hungry. I
ate a big green leaf. I met my friend Pat the caterpillar. We played and
had fun. It was getting dark. I went home and went to bed.
