A. Facility description

The system is designed for the thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon materials and

allows the recycling of the produced fractions, under very economic issues.

The starting material is crushed and with a filling system carried in the receivinghopper and from there continuously fed to the rotary kiln.

In the rotary kiln, the material is heated up to 700 ° C and split into gas and solids. Inthe discharge casing of the rotary tube, the solids are separated from the gas.

The solids are discharged with a screw conveyor from the oven and cooled to about60 ° C.

The gas is discharged from the upper part of the discharge casing and passes througha gas cooler and condenser to condense to pyrolysis oil.

The condensed oil is pumped into a day tank.

The non-condensable portion of the gas is compressed to about 100 mbar and fed tothe burners of the combustion chamber in order to produce the process heat to heatthe rotary tube.

The non-permanent gas what is not more usable gets burned for security by using atorch, thus pre-emptively to prevent uncontrolled combustion.

The plant is designed for continuous 24/7 operating with minimum 7.500 h/a. Theplant is working fully automatically. The control monitor can be easily added to anexisting control room. The plant can be additionally controlled via internet (with local

permission) to get more service for the operation personal and do maintenance.

Once per day an operator should do an optical check and the hoppers should befilled/emptied.

B.5 Scope of supply

B.5.1 Engineering services

The following works are created by DGE for the client for further editing:

• Main mass balance for submission to the licensing authorities

• Consumption lists

• Load specifications and dimensions for the customer's civil engineering(foundations / building)

• HAZOP hazard analysis

• for obtaining the required approval BImSch-design documents

• Steelwork statics & check by proven engineer 

B.5.2 Pyrolysis plant technology

The following components are the main components of the system:

• Horizontal feed bin about 56 m³ / h for 2-3 days buffering with weighing system,filling by the customer via a ramp or conveyor belt loaders

• Feed bin discharge

• Entry conveyor with airlock

• Pyrolysis rotary kiln with muffle and heating systems for temperatures up to 800 °

C• Discharge system with product cooler and closed cycle refrigerator 

• horizontal feed bin for pyrolysis coke (powder) and feeding system for silo-trucks(only basic module)

• Pyrolysis gas-cooling and condensation

• Oil security tank (ATEX Compliant) for daily production (only basis module)

• Side stream Oil-Separator from pyrolysis oil

• Active coal permanent gas filter (only basic module)

• Gasometer intended for the permanent gas (only basic module)

• Flare for surplus permanent gas (only basic module)

• LPG-tank for the plant start (only basic module)

• Nitrogen generator for the production of inert gas (only basic module)

• C65 Micro turbine for own electricity from excess permanent gas (only basicmodule)

B.5.3 Construction and commissioning

The following services are provided in the construction and operation:• Cold run in the assembly operation of DGE by DGE engineers

B.5.4 Aftersales Service

DGE provides within the warranty period, technical support by phone / mail / Teamview.

Training of other staff or further stays are not free of charges.

B.5.5 Exclusions

The following services are provided by the customer:

• Preparation of the site and the transport links• Operating licenses (eg BImSch) can optionally be offered for Germany.

• Logistics, processing and storage of product entry

• Storage tanks and removal of the resulting oil

• Storage and transportation of the resulting solid

• Personnel for the development (about 20 man-days)

• Wiring up to the defined system connection point

• Cranes, forklifts, loaders, etc.

• Building: Control rooms, social rooms, storage

B.6 Comments / remarks

DGE reserves the right to incorporate changes during the contract period, which willlead to an improvement in the overall system.

C.1.4 Special conditions

Under the cooperation agreement, the parties agree to disclose.

C.2 Terms of payment

20% of contract

20 % on submission of main flow sheet and mass consumption lists

20% after manufacturing of kiln and muffle

20 % after mechanical erection

10 % after cold run in Germany and delivery capability

10 % after set to work

All invoices paid within 7 days net.

C.3 Warranty

After the commissioning of the 2-year warranty period, the DGE-engineers full accessgranted to the system data.

DGE is entitled to the highest level of the control system with the boundaryparameters for safe plant operation for the customer to lock.

In case the requested access of password for the highest system level is denied, thewarranty expires.

From the warranty are wear items such as seals excluded. DGE can offer amaintencance service contract.

Also excluded are any guarantees of the oil qualities!

For the design and construction of the pyrolysis plant, the following approx. deliverytimes:

C.6 Conditions of operation

The plant is designed as an outdoors plant.

Within this presumption there are no ATEX-regulations demanded by Germangovernment regulation.

For erection you need a concrete area of 30 x 30 m.

The plant is designed as mobile plant and will delivered in container-racks asplug'n'run plant.

C.7 Maintenance costs

For the complete maintenance you should calculate with 5% of the hardware invest inthe business plan.

Typically the plant has a lifetime of 20 years. After 10 years you need a generalmaintenance.
