He has taught a blend of yoga movement & meditation in the Bos- ton area since 1978 and is the founding director of e Arlington Center, dedicated to the integration of yoga and dharma practice. BEING MINDFUL & HEALTHY: CARING FOR THE HEART Kathryn Komidar and Bill Ryan have studied, practiced, and taught Taoist qigong, meditation, and bodywork arts for a combined 50 years. Bill was the founder of Brookline Tai Chi, where Kathryn also taught. ey now co-direct Toward Harmony Tai Chi and Qigong in Northampton, MA. ere they teach, offer qigong bodywork, and lead seasonal weekend retreats in nature. SAVOR: MINDFUL EATING, MINDFUL LIFE Using timeless principles of mindfulness and the latest nutrition science, this session will provide a unique approach to achieving the active, healthy lifestyle we all want. It will cover not only what to eat and how much to exercise to lower your risk of disease and to keep your weight in check, but it will also introduce the key skills for making these a reality. In today’s hurried and over-stimulated world, it’s easy to lose the connection to ourselves – to our minds and our bodies.
