MILOS Rail Management
The MILOS Rail Management module is designed to display graphically
and manage the operations inside the terminal rail yards.
There are two main versions of module:
The MILOS Rail Management basic: this version handles the bookings, the
rail planning, documents exchange and the gate operations basic
functionalities.
The MILOS Rail Management graphic: this version gives the possibility to
fulfil the train composition easily and quickly with the maximum efficiency
thanks to the simplicity of graphic tools.

MILOS Rail management module has been integrated with the main TOS
present on the market.
In particular, the use of standard connectors (web services, ftp, xml, etc.)
makes the solution compatible with all the major Terminal Operating
Systems, allowing the exchange of all relevant data.
We have already implemented specific connectors with:
• Copas Step
• PlanMaster
• Cosmos
• Navis (ongoing)
• Jade
• Home made solutions.

MILOS BOOKING (2)The MILOS Booking module allows to manage booking operations related to
commercial rail routes:

The aims of the module is to show in real-time the rail yard states, the position of
the wagons and containers, with visualisation of the related information, and to
detect easily the errors within the TOS data.

Visualization of all numeric data relating the train and its
components (dimensions, mass, schedules, direction etc.)

It is possible to visualise various railroad connections and choose one of
them to execute a train composing

The aims of the module is to manage the containers loading and discharging
from rail cars, and the composition of the train with the related wagons moves.
With this system, operators gain real-time visibility of complex rail planning
considering eventual limitations by dimension and weight, and maximize
operational rail efficiencies through reducing of expensive and time consuming rail
switching.

MILOS CUSTOMS CORRIDOR modules and related connectors, as a part of the
MILOS framework, allows to automate and digitalize the exchange of data and
documents related to a specific innovative Italian customs procedure, called “fast corridor”,
that regards the transit of goods from a seaport to a location outside the port of discharge by
rail, which can serve as a customs inspections’ location or as a warehouse of temporary
storage.
MILOS CUSTOMS CORRIDOR module and related connectors were implemented in 18
Italian Fast Customs Corridors currently activated, while 15 further projects are ongoing,
where 4 ports, 7 inland ports and around 70 actors of the supply chain has been involved.
MILOS CUSTOMS CORRIDOR is European Union Customs Code compliant.
