Getting to the historic town of Millthorpe is easy.

Millthorpe is 20 minutes’ drive southeast of Orange, only 10 minutes from Orange Airport, and 30 minutes west of Bathurst. The drive from Sydney is 3 1/2 hours and Canberra 3 hours making Millthorpe the perfect location for the business traveller or a weekend getaway.

The Western XPT from Sydney arrives into Millthorpe daily at 11.48 am on its way to Dubbo. On its return journey, it departs Millthorpe at 4.11 pm to head back to Sydney.

If you are planning a day trip there’s plenty of time to have something to eat and explore the village, its shops and cellar doors or stay a day or two to relax and enjoy. Tickets can be booked online with NSW Trainlink or by phone 13 22 32.

There are daily flights to Orange Airport from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne through REX and Qantas.

At the Orange, Airport hire cars and taxis are available. There are also local transport companies that can be arranged to bring you to Millthorpe. We recommend that you pre-arrange your transport selection before arrival.
