Some remarksLucid and the committee are not responsible for any loss or damage to any participants belongings. Everything you do is your own re-sponsibility. However, if something is wrong you should call one of the committee members and/or an emergency number (page 7).
Milan, especially during the design week, is crowded with many pickpockets and thieves. Always keep your personal items, such as wal-let, camera and phone, safe from pickpockets. Never leave your bag unattended or out of sight. We advise you to only take what is re-quired each day; for example do not bring all your money with you at once.
Most shops are opened from 09:00h till 20:00h, but don’t forget the siësta from 13:00h
3
to 16:30h. Some shops will be closed during this time. Some restaurants charge you for service; watch out for these extra costs.

DUOMO The Duomo is Milan‘s most famous building and one of the biggest Roman-Catholic Cathedrals in the world. The cathedral is located in the centre of Milan. It took six centuries to build, as it was started in the 14th century and was only finished in the 20th century. Therefore, it displays many different building styles and interesting elements, but is mainly a big work of gothic art. Address:Duomo Via Arcivescovado 120123 Milan Metro 1 stop Duomo.

ZONA TORTONA Zona Tortona is a very interesting district. It can be seen as the Strijp-S of Milan, as it was the first real design district in the city. Normally, it is a neighbourhood where everyday life is clearly visible as a lot of people come here to work. During the Milano Design Week, however, it transforms into a very lively and exciting area. It transforms into a place where performances are played all day long. The designs exhibited at the Zona Tortona are different from conventional forms of design.
Address:Zona Tortona 20144 Milano.
