    JAMES MCQUILLANS

STORYJames McQuillan grew up on a dairy farm justoutside Echuca, where a love of the outdoorsand a passion for sport is part and parcel oflife in the country.

Nicknamed Quill, James completed his secondaryschool education and accepted an early entry tostudy Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University inAlbury Wodonga in 2012, moving with his girlfriendKathryn.

AFL footbal l was his first and greatest love, andas a child James was forever pestering his dad, grandparents or brothers to come out and have akick with him, or practising in the yard for hourspretending to be his hero, James Hird.

Sadly in early 2014, James was tragicallyinjured during his teams Round 1 clash againstYarrawonga. While reaching for a ball, James madecontact with another player and sustained a severespinal injury, leaving him a quadriplegic.

Given his renowned football talent, vivacious andcheeky personality combined with his considerate, polite and genuine nature, its no surprise that thebroader community from Echuca to Albury Wodongacame together to support James and his family.

James inner strength and determination will servehim well for the long journey ahead. However hisreliance on costly specialist equipment, care andmedical support means we need your help to ensurehe can live life to the fullest.
