Over the course of this year she has set goals and worked hard to achieve them. Addison is a valuable class member of 1/2L and the wider school community, as she is more than willing to lend a hand to help Mrs Nixon in our school garden. She is also a member of the School Choir and always wears her school uniform with pride. Addison, you can do anything you put your mind to if you keep on trying and do not give up. You will connue to achieve your goals and have great success when you do your Personal Best. You are sensive to the needs of others around you, always looking out for your peers. You are a delighul student to teach and have here at Middleton Public School. Well done. PRINCIPALS MESSAGE Congratulaons to Nell Smith for being the lucky winner of the Milson Island raffle!! I believe the Cash Duck was present and drew Nellsname out! Thank you to everyone who supported the raffle. The money raised will assist our Stage 3 students excursion to Milson Island in a few weeks. Our students are once again busy this week. At Middleton Public School we are proud to be able to support our students in extracurricular acvies. This week we will see Stage 3 parcipate in a Cricket Gala Day, seven students will be aending the Western PSSA Athlecs carnival and four students aending the Regional Finals for Premier's Spelling Bee in Dubbo. Musica Viva will also be vising our school and there will be the Talent Quest heats. I would like to wish all our seven students who are represenng our school this week the very best of luck!! PRIMARY ELECTIVE SPORT This Wednesday students in our primary classes (Years 3-6) will continue to participate in a 4 week sport block. Students attending Volley squash will need $5.00 and students participating in hockey will need $3.00.

CRICKET BLAST CUP The students involved in the Cricket Blast Cup have received permission notes for these events. Please ensure they are returned to Miss Ehsman as soon as possible. Stage 3 (Year 5/6) is on this Wednesday 11 September and Stage 2 (Year 3/4) is on next Wednesday 18 September.

PSSA NEWS The Western Athletics Carnival is on Friday this week in Dubbo. Good luck to the following students who made the Lachlan Team: Kade Ticehurst, Joselyne Folau, Chelsea McMaster, Ashton Cohen, Riley McMaster, Indianna Kennedy and Hugh MacGregor. Last week Harry Kennedy and Holly Duncan attended the Western Cricket Trials. Holly was selected in the Western Girls Team and Harry was selected as reserve for the Western Boys Team. A

YEAR 3 EXCURSION Payment of $45.00 for Year 3 excursion to Wellington Caves and the Lake Burrendong Arboretum is due by Friday, 20 September.

STAGE 1 KITCHEN GARDEN On Tuesday afternoon K-2 students will be either cooking seasonal vegetable muffins, making rain sticks and dancing, spending time in the garden or making bread sticks in the shape of the first letter of their names. What fun that will be! If you are looking for something to do on Tuesdays at 2.10pm please come and join us. We love having parent helpers around to lend a hand.

PREMIER’S SPELLING BEE REGIONAL FINALS Tomorrow four students will be representing Middleton Public School at the Premiers Spelling Bee Regional Finals in Dubbo. The students representing our school for Stage 2 are Meg Skinner and Logan Roberts, and Harry Kennedy and Natan Sadykov for Stage 3. Good luck Meg, Logan, Harry and Natan, do your personal best!

MILSON ISLAND EXCURSION The Year 5/6 excursion to Milson Island is on NEXT WEEK from Monday, 16 September – Wednesday, 18

MIDDLETON PUBLIC SCHOOL TALENT QUEST 2019 Please be sure to bring your clothes if you are changing, your CD, any props etc. We cannot be phoning home if you forget them. Your parents/family are welcome to come. We plan to hold

the Finals on Wednesday 25th September.

MILSON ISLAND RAFFLE Thank you so much to all of the students, staff, parents, families and friends of Middleton Public School who supported our raffle. We were able to raise all of the funds needed to get our Year 5/6 students on the coach to Milson Island.
