Implementation: January, 2011
It was a busy month!• Installed & set-up hardware from the 5th-7th• Went live with Practice Management on 10th• Pre-loaded EHR based on scheduled patients• Rolled out e-Prescribing first
• Followed with other modules as trained
• Trained all staff on system during January• Sporadic follow up in February• Final training on template modification March 17
• Documented visits utilizing all templates • All doctors trained by early February

• Checked the EP Attestation Worksheet
• Received incentive funds in late July

Lessons Learned
• Document from the start
• Set up your system to collect data
• Keep track of progress for criteria
• Work with EHR vendor for reports
• Include the entire office
• Work in conjunction with PCMH
• DON’T reinvent the wheel
• You can do it all!
