Almajdouie PSC Heavy Lift Company Ltd(MPSC) is a joint venture of two of theworlds leading professional heavy lift andtransport companies Almajdouie Heavy Lift,Transport & Engineering and Fagioli PSC Ltd.
Almajdouie Heavy Lift Transport &Engineering (MHL), a subsidiary of theAlmajdouie Group was the first ISO CertifiedTransport Company in the Middle East andhas operated in the region since the late1970's, handling heavy, oversized andabnormal cargo from ship to foundation andis recognized as a company with a highreputation, earned through professionalexpertise in the territory.
MHL is known as the leading heavy haulageoperator in the region offering lifting andinstallation onto foundation. MHL has beenactive in the Middle East and serves all themajor EPC contractors from the USA,Europe, Japan and Korea as well as localmanufacturers. FPSC the pioneers of Heavy Lifting StrandJacking systems, associated HydraulicPower Packs and control systems. FagioliSpa owns large resources of equipmentused in engineered lifting, lowering andtransportation of large loads in theConstruction field.

Standard Jack Range Table
Strand JacksAlmajdouie PSC Heavy Lift Co. (MPSC)operates a range of jacks from 15 to 560tonnes capacity each based upon lift cables of1 to 37 strands of 18mm diameter, seven wire,die-compacted, prestressing strand ofguaranteed minimum breaking load of 38tonnes per strand. Jacks may be usedsingularly, in pairs, or in groups to give anylifting capacity required.
Power PacksMPSC also operates a large fleet of purposebuilt diesel-hydraulic and electro-hydraulicpower packs. All have multiple outlets ofmatched flow which automatically ensuressynchronised operating speed of jacksconnected to each of these outlets. In additionto main hydraulics they also deliver flow foroperation of the secondary hydraulic systemswhich control jack gripping mechanisms.
From this fleet MPSC is able to select powerpack and jack combinations to meet allfunctional requirements of synchronised liftingby multiple jacks at appropriate lifting speeds.
Monitoring and Control Systems
All power packs have direct, panel mounted,monitoring and control systems.
It would be typical that a MPSC operator mightcontrol a multi-jack lift or lower by means oftwo functional control levers on the power packwith the option of opening or closing hydraulicflow to all or any jacks by means of line valves.Maximum pumping pressure, hence jack liftingforce, can be pre-set or altered at will bypressure control valves on the panel.
Further electronic monitoring can displaynumber of lift strokes completed and individualstroke positions at each jack.
Similar control and monitoring facilities canalso be positioned remote from the power packto fully computerised systems, includingautomatic lifting and lowering capabilities

Minimal re-lubrication of grippingmechanisms - lifts of 90 metres andhorizontal moves of 250 metres have been completed without the need forrelubrication;
Gripping mechanisms are fully accessibleat all times;
Full efficiency in all attributes fromvertical through to horizontal;
Completely self contained and very rugged.

TowerliftTowerlift is an extremely heavy duty structuralsupport system for use with Strand Jacks. It isspecifically designed in modular form for ease ofassembly, erection and worldwide transportation.
In its basic form it is assembled from only twomembers - legs and bracings. Bracings areconnected to the legs by means of a single pin ateach end. Two sets of connection points areprovided on all legs so that the same members maybe assembled in either three-leg triangular or four-leg square format towers.
The design philosophy is to provide a supportstructure which requires minimal external guying forreduced site disruption.
Because of its unrivalled versatility as a temporarysupport structure Towerlift can be used in varyingways to produce the most economical liftingarrangement.
Examples of Typical Formats are:

Four-square towers with crosshead beams;
Towers with tied cantilever beams;
Independent luffed towers;

Self Propelled Modular Transporters
International Heavy TransportAlmajdouie PSC Heavy Lift Co. (MPSC) can alsotransport those pieces to site by means of selfpropelled modular transporters andconventional trailers.
Early in the initial stages of many projects,heavy-lift engineers work closely with theclient and their suppliers in order to establishthe best possible solution for the transportweights and dimensions including all additionalaccessories required; i.e. saddles, stiffeners,etc.
Site and route surveys are conducted todetermine the most feasible solution for thetransports. In many developing countries, theinfrastructure may require significantmodifications and upgrades in order to performthe transport. If the client, in conjunction withthe local authorities, agree to the modificationsand upgrades, then MPSC engineers work withlocal contractors to ensure that themodifications are made to specifications inaccordance with client authorisations andsafety requirements.

The system is based on two types of transportunits having 4 or 6 axle lines, each of theseunits are totally modular and can be coupledtogether to achieve many different transportconfigurations.
Each axle line is capable of carrying 36,000 kggross and 32,000 kg net. The steering rangeof every axle is 260º (±130º). The platformcan be lowered to 1,200 mm and lifted to1,800mm height from grade.

MPSC’s experience involves various types of transport, depending onfeasibility and the construction schedule, road, rail, river and seatransports are the most common. However, MPSC are also veryactive with air lift of heavy transports. The logistics involved in theco-ordination of the various activities are closely followed by theoperations department which ensures that all the various phases areexecuted on time in such a manner to avoid any possible delay orshortage.
MPSC and their partners own and operate their own heavy liftshipping fleet and own a number of specialised barges, includingthose with elevator platforms to assist in the roll-on and roll-offoperations.
The roll-off and inland transport of two reactors, 60 m length x 9.7 m diameter and each weighing2.200 tonnes from Ras Laffan Industrial City port to ORYX GTL site was carried out using 3 x 36axles of self propelled modular trailers (SPMT) with a capacity of over 3000 tonnes.

MPSC with its expertise in jacking/skiddingoperations, has served the Power andEnergy, Oil and Gas and Petrochemicalindustries by installing, removing Boilers,Generators, Turbines, Economizers,Transformers and other process equipmentfrom/to foundation safely and economically,with the use of our Jacking and Skiddingsystems.
With these systems, heavy process unitscan be installed and removed in closedareas, where the use of cranes is notconsidered possible or economically viable.These operations include offloading theunits from trailers and transferring tofoundation using our roller/skiddingsystems, before jacking the units down.

Project ManagementMPSC can provide a complete "Project LogisticsManagement" service to clients under a single packagethese services include the complete operation from ex-works to final destination, including shippingtransportation and installation at site.
On arrival of the cargoes in country, MPSC will arrange thecustoms clearance, transport to site and complete theerection/installation on foundation, this service includesthe initial route surveys, arranging of local Road Permits, ifrequired MPSC will design and build temporary jetties toreceive heavy and abnormal cargoes.
