Before using this product, please read these cautions on safety and operation carefully for proper use and prevent any injury to yourself or others: Warning 1. Read all instructions. Save this instruction manual. 2. Do not disassemble or modify the product. Electric shock hazard: Touching some of the

internal components can cause serious injury or death. 3. Electric shock hazard: Improper use of the grounding can result in electric shock. Do not

plug into an outlet until the produce is properly installed and grounded. 4. Do not repair the product by yourself. Repair or disassembly must be carried out by an

authorized repair person(s) only. 5. Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the product is not in use. 6. In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliance, never leave them

unsupervised with the product. Consequently, when selecting the location for your product, make sure that children do not have access to the product and the cable does not hang down.

7. The product should be installed in a place that is easy to isolate from electricity supply by pulling out the plug or operating a circuit breaker.

8. Check the product regularity for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the product should not be used.

9. Do not use the product if the power cord and/or plug are damaged or if the power socket is loose. If the cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician or service agent.

10. Insert the plug firmly, clean dirt and dust on the plug regularly. 11. Do not damage, modify, forcibly bend, pull hard, twist, or bind the power cord. Do not place

heavy objects on the cord or pinch the cord, or add heat to the cord. 12. When removing the plug, do not grab the cord, make sure to take hold of the plug to pull out. 13. Keep the product and the power cord away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges

and suchlike. 14. Do not put the product on any instable place or a non-heat resistant surface. 15. Do not place the product in water or any other liquid. 16. Do not use the product or pull the plug with wet or moist hands. 17. Do not use the product too close to the wall, furniture or curtain. Ensure a sufficient air

circulation for the product. 18. Product must be placed on a flat, stable surface 85cm above the floor. This product shall not

be placed in a cabinet. 19. Do not place the product near an electric or gas cooker range. 20. Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or dials. The door or the outer surface may get hot

when the product is operating. 21. Cleaning shall be done after pulling out the plug and cooling down the product enough. 22. Do not use the product outdoors. 23. Do not leave the product during using. 24. If smoke is emitted or a fire occurs in the product, turn timer dial back to zero position and

leave the door closed in order to stifle any flames. Disconnect the power cord, or shut off power at fuse or circuit breaker panel.

25. Do not use the product for other than intended use. Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave ovens.

26. When heating liquids, for example soup, sauces and beverages, overheating of the liquid beyond boiling point can occur without evidence of bubbling. This could result in a sudden boil over of the hot liquid.

27. The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars are to be stirred or shaken. The temperature must be checked before consumption to avoid burns.

28. Do not cook eggs in their shells and whole hard-boiled eggs by this product. Pressure may build up and the eggs may explode, even after this product heating has ended.

29. This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

30. Only allow children to use the product without supervision when adequate instructions have been given so that the child is able to use the product in a safe way and understands the hazards of improper use.

31. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

32. Do not store any materials other than manufacture’s recommended accessories. 33. The product is not intended to be operated by a separate remote-control system. 34. Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to

explode. 35. When heating food in plastic or paper containers, check the product frequently as these types

of containers ignite when overheated. 36. Clean the inside of the product, door seals and door seal areas regularly. When food

splatters or spilled liquids adhere to the product walls, door seal or door areas wipe off with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if they get very dirty. The use of harsh detergent or abrasive is not recommended.

37. Do not use harsh, abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the product door glass since they can scratch the surface. Which may result in shattering of the glass.

38. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

39. Do not use commercial oven cleaners. 40. Do not use steam cleaner for cleaning. 41. Do not use the oven for any reason other than preparation of food. This oven is specifically

designed to heat or cook food. Do not use this oven to heat chemicals or other non-food products.

42. Do not attempt to use this product to dry newspaper, clothing or any other materials. They may catch fire.

43. Before use, check the utensils/containers are suitable for use in ovens. 44. The product must be earthed. 45. The product vents should never be blocked.

A) Control Panel

For the first use 1. Unpack the oven, remove all packing material, and examine the oven for any damage such

as dents, broken door latches or cracks in the door. If you find any damage, notify your dealer immediately. Do not install a damaged microwave oven.

2. This product has to be properly earthed for safety. 3. The voltage has to be the same as specified on the label on the product. If a higher voltage

than specified is used, it may cause fire or other damages. 4. This product is intended for household counter-top use only. It is not intended for built-in use

or use inside a cabinet. Do not use outdoors. 5. Do not remove the brown Mica cover that is attached in the oven cavity to protect the

magnetron.

Placement of the product 1. Place the oven on a flat and stable surface, more than 85cm above the floor. 2. When this oven is installed, it should be easy to isolate the product from the electricity

supply by pulling out the plug or operating a circuit breaker. 3. For proper operation, ensure a sufficient air circulation for the oven.

Allow 15 cm of space above the oven, 10cm at the back, 5cm from one side, and the other side must be opened more than 40cm. If one side of the oven is facing a wall, the other side or top must not be blocked.

4. Do not place this oven near an electric or gas cooker range. 5. The feet should not be removed. 6. Avoid using the oven in high humidity. 7. The power cord should not touch the outside of the oven. Keep the cord away from hot

surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter-top. Do not immerse the cord, plug or oven in water.

8. Do not block the air vents on the top and side and back of the oven. If these openings are blocked during operation the oven may overheat.

9. This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

How to Use

Turntable installation

Turntable ring 1. Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted. 2. Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking. 3. All food and containers of food should always be placed on the glass tray for cooking. 4. If glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact your nearest authorized

service center.

Use your oven

Cautions 1. Do not use the oven for any reasons other than the preparation of food. This oven is

specifically designed to heat or cook food. Do not use this oven to heat chemicals or other non-food products.

2. Before use, check the utensils/containers are suitable for use in the oven. 3. Do not attempt to use this oven to dry newspaper, clothing or any other materials. 4. When the oven is not being used, do not store any objects other than oven accessories

inside the oven in case it is accidentally turned on. 5. The oven shall not be operated without food in the oven. 6. If smoke or a fire occurs in the oven, turn timer dial back to zero position and leave door

closed. Disconnect the power cord, or shut off power at fuse or circuit breaker panel. 7. Do not operate the oven without the roller ring and the glass tray in place. 8. Never use another type of glass tray than the one specially designed for this oven. 9. If the glass tray is hot, let it cool before cleaning or placing in water. 10. If the food or cooking container on the glass tray touches the oven walls and stops the tray

rotating, the tray will automatically rotate in the opposite direction, this is normal. 11. The roller ring and the oven floor should be cleaned frequently to prevent noise and build-up

of remaining food. 12. The turntable ring must always be used for cooking together with the glass tray.

Materials you can use in your oven

Materials Remarks

Aluminum foil

Shielding only. Small smooth pieces can be used to cover thin parts ofmeat or poultry to prevent overcooking. Arcing can occur if foil is too closeto oven walls. The foil should be at least 1 inch (2.5cm) away from ovenwalls.

Browning dishFollow manufacture's instructions. The bottom of the browning dish mustbe at least 3/16 inch (5mm) above the truntable. Incorrect usage may causethe turntable to break.

Dinnerware Microwave-safe only. Follow manufacture's instructions. Do not usecracked or chipped dishes.

Glass jars Always remove lid. Use only to warm food. Most glass jars are not heatresistant and may break.

Glassware Heat-resistant oven glassware only. Make sure there is no metallic trim. Donot use cracked or chipped glasswares.

Oven cooking bags Follow manufacture's instructions. Do not close with metal tie. Make slits toallow steam to escape.

Paper plates and cups Use for short-term cooking/warming only. Do not leave oven unattendedwhile cooking.

Paper towels Use to cover food for reheating or absorbing fat. Use with supervision for ashort-term cooking only.

Parchment paper Use as a cover to prevent splatering or a warp for steaming.

Plastic

Microwave-safe only. Follow manufacture's instructions. Should be labeled"Microwave Safe". Some plastic containers soften, as the food inside getshot. "Boiling bags" and tightly closed plastic bags should be slit, pierced orvented as directed by package.

Plastic warp Microwave-Safe only. Use to cover food during cooking to retain moisture.Do not allow plastic warp to touch food.

Thermometers Microwave-Safe only (meat and candy thermometers).Wax paper Use as a cover to prevent splattering and retain moisture.

Cooking Guidelines (Important information on cooking) 1. The cooking time depends on the condition, temperature, amount of food and on the type of

cookware. Begin with the minimum cooking time to help prevent overcooking. If the food is not sufficiently cooked you can always cook it for a little longer.

2. Small quantities of food or foods with low moisture content can burn, dry out or catch on fire if cooked too long. If materials inside the oven ignited, keep the oven door closed, turn off and remove the plug from the socket.

3. Do not cook eggs in their shells and whole hard-boiled eggs by this oven. Pressure may build up and the eggs may explode.

4. Food with non-porous skins, such as potatoes, egg yolks and sausages must be pierced before cooking by this oven to prevent bursting.

5. Use a meat thermometer to check the degree of cooking of roasts and poultry only when the meat has been removed from the oven. Do not use a meat thermometer in the oven because it may cause sparking.

6. When heating liquids, e.g. soup, sauces and beverages in the oven, overheating of the liquid beyond boiling point can occur without evidence of bubbling. This could result in a sudden boil over of the hot liquid. To prevent this possibility, the following steps should be taken. (1) Avoid using straight-sided containers with narrow necks. (2) Do not overheat. (3) Stir the liquid before placing the container in the oven and again halfway through the

cooking time. (4) After heating, allow it to stand in the oven for a short time, stir again before carefully

removing the container. 7. When heating food in plastic or paper containers, check the oven frequently as these types

of containers ignite if overheated. Do not use recycled paper products (e.g. Kitchen Roll), unless the paper product is labelled as safe for microwave oven use. Recycled paper products may contain impurities that may cause spark and or fires during use. Remove wire twist-tie from roasting bags before placing the bags in the oven.

8. Do not heat any closed cans or bottles because they might explode. Metal containers or dishes with metallic trim should not be used. Sparking will occur. If you use any aluminum foil, meat spikes or metal ware the distance between them and the oven walls and door should be at least 2 cm to prevent sparking.

9. The top and teat or lid must be removed from feeding bottles or baby food jars before placing in the oven. The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars are to be stirred or shaken. The temperature must be checked before consumption to avoid burns.

Operation Instruction 1. Clock setting

Your Oven has a 24 hour clock mode. (1) Press “Clock” key once and “00:00” will display. (2) Press “-” or “+” key to adjust the hours, press “Clock” key to set the hours. (3) Press “-” or “+” key to adjust the minutes, press “Clock” key to set the minutes.

Notes (1) If the clock is set, when cooking is complete, the display will show the correct time of day. If

the clock has not been set, the display will only show “00:00” when cooking is complete. (2) In the process of clock setting, if the “Stop/Cancel” button is pressed or if there is no

operation within 1 minute, the oven will go back to the former setting automatically (3) If the clock need to be reset, please repeat the above step (1) to step (3). 2. Power level

Generally, the following recommendations apply: 100P/90P(High): used for fast cooking or reheating. For example, for casseroles, hot beverages, vegetables, etc. 80P/70P(Medium high): used for longer cooking of dense foods such as roast joints, meat loaf and plated meals, also for sensitive dishes sure as sponge cakes. At this reduced setting, the food will cook evenly without over cooking at the sides. 60P/50P(Medium): used for dense foods which require a long cooking time when cooked conventionally. For example, for beef casserole, it is advisable to use this power setting to ensure the meat will be tender. 40P/30P(Medium low): to defrost, select this power setting to ensure that the dish defrosts evenly. This setting is also ideal for simmering rice, pasta, dumplings and cooking egg custard. 20P/10P(Low): for gentle defrosting, for example cream gateaux or pastry.

(1) To change the power level for cooking, press the “Power” key until the display indicates the desired level.

(2) To check the power level during cooking, press the “Power” key. As long as your finger is pressing the “Power” key, the power level will be displayed.

(3) If “0P” is selected, the oven will work with fan for no power, you can use this level to remove the odor.

3. Time Cook (1) Press time keys (10 min. 1 min, 10 sec) to set the cooking time. The maximum cooking time

is 99 minutes and 59 seconds. (2) Press “Start/+30 sec.” to start cooking. (3) After cooking, the audible signal will sounds five times, and the LED will display then time of

day if the clock has been set. If the clock as not been set, the display will only show “0:00” when cooking is complete.

Notes (1) During cooking, time can be added by pressing “start/+30 sec.” button. (2) In the process of setting, if the “Stop/Cancel” button is pressed or if there is no operation

within 1 minute, the operation will be cancelled.

(3) During cooking, you can press the “Stop/Cancel” button to pause the operation. If you press the “Stop/Cancel” button again, the operation will be cancelled. If you press the “Start/+30 sec.” button, the operation will resume for the rest time.

4. Speedy cooking In waiting state, instant cooking at 100% power level can be started by pressing “Start/+30SEC”. Each press on the same button will increase cooking time by 30 seconds. The maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 50 seconds.

Note: During cooking, time can be added by pressing “start/+30 sec.” button. 5. Weight defrost (1) Press “Weight Defrost” key, the display will show “dEF1” (2) Press “-” or “+” to adjust the weight to be defrosted. The weight must be between 100g to

2000g. (3) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to start defrosting and the cooking time remaining will be

displayed.

Notes (1) Before freezing foods, ensure food is fresh and of good quality. (2) Food weight should be rounded up to the nearest 100g, for example, 650g to 700g. (3) The preset microwave power level is 30P and can not be changed. The cooking time is

calculated automatically and can not be changed.

6. Time Defrost (1) Press “Time Defrost” key, the display will show “dEF2” (2) Press time keys (10 min. 1 min, 10 sec) to set the defrost time. The maximum defrost time is

99 minutes and 50 seconds. (3) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to start defrosting and the cooking time remaining will be

displayed. (4) After half the time is passed, the audible signal will sounds twice. Notes (1) After cooking the audible signal will sounds five times and the LED will display then time of

day, if the clock has been set. If the clock as not been set, the display will only show “0:00” when cooking is complete.

(2) The preset microwave power level is 30P and can not be changed. 7. Auto Menu

Your oven has 6 auto menus. Popcorn (1) Place the popcorn bag directly on the turntable (2) Press “Popcorn” key repeatedly, for HMR-D2011, “50”(50g), “100”(100g) will display in

order, choose one for your popcorn, for HMR-D2311, “50”(50g), “85(85g)”, “100”(100g) will display in order, choose one for your popcorn

(3) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times.

Notes (a) When selecting 100 gram of popcorn, it is suggested that you fold down a triangle on

each corner of the bag before cooking, like below photo showed. (b) If/when the popcorn bag expands and no longer rotates properly, please press

Stop/Cancel key once and open the oven door and adjust the bag position to ensure even cooking.

Potato (1) Press “Potato” key repeatedly, “200” (200g),”400” (400g), “600” (600g) will display in

order, choose one for your potato. 1 potato = approx. 200g

(2) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times. Note: Please use potatoes with a similar size of approx.200g. Pierce each potato in several places and place towards the edge of the turntable. Turnover and re-arrange halfway through cooking. Stand for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Pizza (1) Press “Pizza” key repeatedly, “200” (200g), “400” (400g) will display in order, choose one

for your pizza. (2) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times.

Note: Place the pizza on a plate in the center of the turntable.

Frozen Vegetable (1) Press “Frozen Vegetable” key repeatedly, “200” (200g),”300” (300g), “400” (400g) will

display in order, choose one for your frozen vegetable. (2) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times.

Note: Place vegetables in a suitable container. Add 1thsp of water per 100g of vegetables, cover the dish and place on the turntable. Stir halfway through cooking and after cooking.

Beverage (1) Press “Beverage” key repeatedly, “1” (1 cup),”2” (2 cups), “3” (3 cups) will display in order,

choose one for your beverage. (2) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times.

Note Place the cup(s) on the turntable and stir after heating.

Dinner Plate (1) Press “Dinner Plate” key repeatedly, “250” (250g),”350” (350g), “500” (500g) will display

in order, choose one for your dinner plate. (2) Press “Start/+30SEC” key to cook, when cooking finished, buzzer will sound five times.

8. Child Safety Look function

Use to prevent unsupervised operation of the oven by little children. (1) Press “Child Safety Look” key to set this function, “ ” will display.

Under this function, you can not press any keys, except “Child Safety Look” key. (2) Press “Child Safety Look” key again to cancel this function.

9. Silent mode function

Use to not to make buzzer sounds. (1) Press “Silent Mode” key to stop the buzzer sounds. (2) Press “Silent Mode” key again to cancel this function.

Always unplug the cord from the electrical outlet and allow the oven to cool before cleaning.

DO NOT IMMERSE THE OVEN IN WATER. 1. Unplug the oven before cleaning. 2. Keep the inside of the oven, door seals and door seal areas clean. When food splatters or

spilled liquids adhere to the oven walls, door seals or door seal areas, wipe off with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if they get very dirty. The use of harsh detergent or abrasive is not recommended.

Do not use commercial oven cleaners. 3. The outside oven surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth. To prevent damage to the

operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to go into the ventilation openings.

4. If the control panel becomes dirty, clean it with a soft dry cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasives on the control panel. When cleaning the control panel leave the oven door open to prevent the oven from accidentally turning on. After cleaning turn timer dial back to zero position.

5. If steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur when the oven is operated under high humidity conditions and in no way indicates a malfunction of the unit.

6. It is occasionally necessary to remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash the tray in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.

7. The roller ring and oven cavity floor should be cleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply wipe the bottom surface of the oven with mild detergent and hot water then dry with a clean cloth. The roller ring may be washed in mild soapy water. Cooking vapors collect during repeated use but in no way affects the bottom surface or roller ring wheels. After removing the turntable ring from the cavity floor for cleaning, be sure to replace it in the proper positon.

8. This oven should only be serviced by qualified personnel. Contact the nearest authorized dealer for maintenance and repair of the oven.

9. A steam cleaner must not be used for cleaning. 10. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of surfaces that

could affect the life of the oven and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

How to Care and Clean

11. Keep air vents clear at all times. Check that no dust or other material is blocking any of the

air vents on the top, bottom or rear of the oven. If air vents become blocked this could cause overheating which would affect the operation of the oven and possibly end in a hazardous situation.

12. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.

Normal Description

Microwave oven interferingTV reception

Radio and TV reception may be interfered when oven is operating. Itis similar to the interference of small electrical appliance, like mixer,vacuum cleaner and electric fan. It is normal.

Dim oven light When cooking with a power other than the MAX power, the oven mustcycle to obtain the lower power levels. The oven light dims andclicking noises can be heard when the oven cycles. It is normal.

Steam accumulating on door,hot air out of vents

When cooking, steam may come out of food. Most will get out fromvents. There are no microwaves in the air. The oven vents shouldnever be blocked during cooking.
