Gates open 12.00 Driver Registration/Check-in.12.30 Driver Briefing (All drivers must attend)12.45 New drivers to track briefing. 1.00 Orientation lap to assemble in marshalling area. 1.15 Commence Orientation lap. If no orientation first run 1.00pm

First run group to assemble in marshalling area. 1.30 Commence Run Group One,

with approximately 15 minutes per run group consisting of one warm up lap, five timed laps, one half cool down lap, total of 7 laps.

1.5.2 The order of, and drivers in, run groups will be published at the venue on the day of the event.

1.6 Entries1.6.1 Online entries will open on Thursday the 13th February 2014 and entries close on 5th March 2014

No late entries please.1.6.2 Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by the appropriate entry fee.1.6.3 All Printed Documentation must accompany every driver to the circuit for presentation at registration.1.6.4 Entry is open only to financial members of Porsche Club Queensland.1.6.5 Fees

1.6.5.1 The speed entry event fee is $200 (GST inc) if paid by the discount entries closing date.i) The speed event entry fee per driver is inclusive of all events including MOTORKHANA .

Sprints $200.00 must be paid prior to the event. Training cost TBA aprox $90 per person

1.6.6 No late entries please.1.5.6.1 Entries after 5.00 pm on the closing date may incur a $50 late fee.1.5.6.2 No refund will be given for cancellation or non-appearance on the day of the event.

1.6.7 If the event is over-subscribed, preference will be given to single vehicle entries, then Porsche vehicles, then fully completed and paid entries by receipt. The balance of entries will be returned with a full refund.

1.6.7.1 The maximum number of entries accepted will be 70

1.6.8 If more than one driver wishes to compete in the same vehicle, each driver must complete a separate entry form, clearing showing that it forms part of a multiple entry.

1.6.9 There will be no relief drivers.

1.6.10 All entries should be completed online: www.porsche-qld.org.au

1.7 Classing

1.7.1 Porsche cars will be classed according to the 2014 PCQ Motorsport Rules.1.7.2 Non-Porsche cars are classified as Associate.1.7.3 Open wheel race cars will have to be approved by the Organising Committee before being accepted.

1.8 Organiser’s Rights1.8.1 The organiser reserves the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the Event at the committee’s discretion. 1.8.2 The allocation of a competition number for each automobile entered is the last 3 digits of their club

membership to be confirmed vacant with the Event co-ordinator.1.8.3 The event organiser reserves the right to refuse any entry / in accordance with NCR 83. /without assigning a reason

1.9 Circuit AccessAccess to the track and paddock area will be available from 8.00am on the 12th of March 20141.9.1 There is strictly NO SMOKING in the pit lane, pit garages and/or paddock area.

A $500 fine applies to any offenders.1.9.2 A 10kph speed limit applies in the paddock area at all times.1.9.3 The use of any kind of two (2) or four (4) wheeled motorised bike, moped, skates, roller blades and/or scooters

in the paddock area is STRICTLY prohibited at the Event.

1.10 Markings on Automobiles1.10.1 All vehicles must display vehicle numbers in two identifiable areas:

i) Front windscreenii) Right Side Door or Rear Quarter Window

1.10.2 Blue triangle indicating the location of the battery. 1.10.2 Blue triangle lightning bolt indicating the location of the kill switch. 1.10.3 Blue coloured cars must have the triangle outlined in white.1.10.4 Red tow triangle indicating tow point1.10.5 Red coloured cars must have the word tow in white.

1.11 Timing1.11.1 The timing system will be provided by Willowbank Raceway.

1.11.2 You are required to have a Westhold transmitter if you want a timed result, Transmitters can be purchased on the day for $80 if you wish to return the transmitter at the end of the day in good condition you will get a $60 refund. Please bring cash which is the most convenient manner to pay.

If you leave the facility with the unit you own it.1.11.3 The cars will be timed by transponders only or scored by the judge in the event of a timing failure.

1.11.4 Results2.5.5.1 Results will be determined by each car’s timed laps 2.5.5.2 Points will be awarded as per the 2014 Motorsport Competition Rules.

CHAPTER 2 – STANDARD SPORTING REGULATIONS

2.1Administration Checking2.1.1 Date and Time: Wednesday 12th of March 2014 12.00pm2.1.2 Location: Base of Tower2.1.3 Administration checking must be carried out prior to the car being presented for scrutiny checking. The

following documentation must be presented: Competitors Licence AASA, Vehicle logbook (if applicable), Porsche Club Queensland Membership Card.

2.2 Driver’s briefing2.2.1 Driver’s briefing

Location: Meeting room below tower.Date & Time:12th March 2014 at 12.30pm

2.2.2 Attendance is compulsory. and failure to be present or on time at the Driver’s briefing will result in a penalty as per discretion of the event co-ordinator.

2.3 Scrutiny Checking2.3.1 Date & Time: Wednesday 12th March 2014 12.00pm

This period may be extended at the discretion of the Event Co-ordinator.2.3.2 It is the responsibility of the owner of the car to certify that the vehicle meets the event’s requirement and

meets or exceeds safety requirements.2.3.3 All drivers must have done a pre-check on their own vehicles prior to presenting the car for scrutiny. The

scrutiny checklist (refer below) must be signed by the owner / driver and placed on the windscreen of the vehicle ready for scrutiny in the time listed above.

2.3.4 All drivers’ apparel must also be presented to the scrutineer at time of scrutiny

2.4 Random Breath Testing and prohibited substances2.4.1 Random breath or other prohibited substance testing can occur at any event at any time.2.4.2 During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages drugs or prohibited substances in the

paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by these substances mentioned above on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to participate.

2.5 General Safety

2.5.1 All competing cars must comply with the basic safety requirements as set out in the 2014 Motorsport rules and must comply with QRO / RACERS

2.5.2 Cars will not be permitted to compete unless passed in scrutineering.2.5.3 Drivers and passengers must wear while competing the following items:

2.5.3.2 Non-synthetic ankle to wrist to neck clothing.2.5.3.3 Suitable closed Non-synthetic footwear.

Note thongs, sandals and high-heels are not acceptable.2.5.4 All cars must comply with the following requirements.

2.5.4.1 Seat belts approved to ASE352.5.4.2 Securely fitted fire extinguisher approved to AS1846 or AS1848. 2.5.4.3 Double throttle return springs ( standard on Porsche road cars).2.5.4.4 All forward facing glass except windscreen to be covered completely with

transparent film. Clear contact – “tape is not sufficient”.2.5.4.5 Positive battery terminal covered or taped.2.5.4.6 Two independent fastening systems of limited extensibility on rear hinged bonnets.

Note that this means of securing the bonnet is at least one additional fastening system in addition to the normal locking mechanism and safety catch.

2.5.5 Compliance with markings on automobiles (1.10).2.5.6 Driver’s must obey all flag and traffic signals and instructions by officials while on the circuit.2.5.7 The finishing order may differ from the starting order.2.5.8 It is a condition of entry that competitors agree to pay all costs incurred for the use of fire fighting equipment of

their car.2.5.9 It is a condition of entry that competitors agree to pay all costs incurred for the repair of track barrier &

structures caused by their car damage2.5.10 It is an offence for any competitors to use, or attempt to use, any portion of the venue for purposes other than

those that are approved.2.5.11 Dangerous and/or unsuitable cars and/or drivers and/or poorly presented cars will be referred to the Stewards

of the meeting , and may be excluded.2.5.12 Using slicks could mean a reclassification of that vehicle.2.5.13 No naked flames in the pit area. All refuelling must take place well away from any sources of ignition,

especially hot cars fresh from the circuit.2.5.14 The events secretary decision is final no protest will be considered, by signing this form you accept this

unconditionally.2.5.15 The Pit Lane Speed Limit is 40km/hr.

Penalty may apply for exceeding the pit lane speed limit.

Application to Test at Lakeside/Willowbank

I, the undersigned, of my own free will hereby apply to Queensland Raceways Operations Pty Ltd ("Track Operator") for permission to enter and use the property known as Queensland Raceway/Lakeside Park (the Track) for the purposes of testing an engine powered conveyance e.g. car or motorcycle, as a spectator, driver, trainee, passenger, crew or any combination of these.

Warning of RiskI acknowledge and agree that high performance and/or competition testing is dangerous and that accidents can and often do happen. I agree the Track Operator has the right to terminate any test session at any time for whatever reason its sees fit at the time. I declare that I have read and understood these warnings and accept all the inherent risks and danger in testing and the activities surrounding the testing.

Exclusion of Liability

I agree to absolve the Track Operator and event organiser Porsche Club Queensland from all liability however arising from injury or damage however caused (whether fatal or otherwise) arising out of my use of Queensland Raceway/Lakeside Park in any capacity.

IndemnityIn consideration of the Track Operator granting me the use of the Track I agree to indemnify them in respect of any actions, suits, proceedings, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, penalties, fines, whatever arising as a result, directly or indirectly, of my use of the Track or any act or omission (including negligence) on the part of the Track Operator.

Should any incident occur as a result of my testing whereby a successful claim is made under any insurance policy relating to the Track and an excess premium or deductible is charged by the insurer of the Track I will pay in full the excess or deductible under such insurance policy except to the extent that it is paid by a third party.

Condition of the Track

I acknowledge that I have thoroughly inspected the Track and found it to be in safe condition for the activities I intend to undertake. By using of the Track I indicate acceptance of the Track’s condition for the activity(s) I will undertake. If an act or occurrence in which I am involved or observe reduces the safety of the Track I will immediately notify the Track Operator and warn other Track users of the danger and/or increased risk. I have read, understand, acknowledge and agree to the above warnings, exclusion of liability, indemnity and inspected the Track and accept with full knowledge the likelihood of injury and damage inherent in any testing activity.
