The world‘s smallest benchtop ESR spectrometer

Bruker’s Benchtop microESR includes our patented miniature electron spin resonance spectrometer operating at 9.7 GHz with a sweep range of over 500 Gauss and sub-micromolar sensitivity. Also included is a convenient ESR start-up kit with various basic tubes and accessories. The system is operated using an embedded Windows 7 PC. The spectrometer can be purchased with a variable temperature control option as well as a LN2 dewar. The microESR can also be operated in flow mode.

Electron spin resonance (ESR) is the only method to detect the concentration and composition of free radicals in a sample, and with the new microESR spectrometer from Bruker, adding ESR to your lab has never been easier. The microESR provides excellent performance in a compact design that is small enough to fit in a fume hood or anywhere else in your lab. Scientific research, education, and industry applications of ESR are supported by one comprehensive and easy-to-use software package.

microESR Education Package Bruker’s microESR is a great value for chemistry depart-ments as it is an ideal teaching tool for many areas of chemistry, and can be incorporated into a wide variety of labs including analytical, inorganic, organic, and instrumental as well as p-chem. The labs were desi-gned for undergraduate chemistry students and cover straight forward topics from free radicals in everyday life to far less intuitive topics like electron density, spin-spin exchange, forbidden transitions, and spin-orbit cou-pling. The microESR is also a research grade instrument, and can be used for both undergraduate and graduate research projects.

The Education Package comes with an Experiment Manual with seven experiments, an Instructor’s guide, and materials to get started.

Fiber-Optic Package A fiber optic cable can easily be installed in the microESR either in the factory, or out in the field if the fiber-optic package is purchased separately from the spectrometer.
