Each of us has unique interests, skills and talents, and it is when we act from our hearts, with our minds, through our hands that we are most satisfied and effective. Give yourself the chance to learn and give us the chance to teach you.

As a constantly evolving corporation, I have occasion to re-write this section from time to time and it seems like only yesterday that I was discussing how our company came to be. How we recognized a need for a centre such as ours in Canada and the fact that we did a lot of research and development into advanced training techniques, anesthetics, quality equipment, and supplies for the Canadian market, prior to opening our doors.

The fact that we have just entered our 24th year in business, and that we can boast with pride of having students and clients from around the world is an accomplishment that speaks well of our training facilities, our products, and our staff who have made it happen.

One of our crowning achievements was the development of the Signature Series, and most recently our Pure+Vivid Collection which is our own line of cosmetic tattoo pigments. In total they have grown to 64 colors and something that I am personally very proud of. It took a lot of trial and error,

consultations with chemists and laboratories, research, and in general, perseverance. But we are proud to say that not only do we export to 42 countries but after 22 years the product has passed the test of time. All of our pigments that you will use in our school and eventually in your own practice are developed from FDA approved ingredients. The iron and titanium oxides we use are stabilized in a clear dispersing solution.

Our tattoo machines have evolved alongside the company and have moved into the 21st century of computerization. The Nouveau Contour Intelligent machine and the Digital 1000 have given an entire new perspective to the business of cosmetic tattooing, both with the ease of application as well as the speed and comfort of the procedure.

The Micro-Method Training Process® has been developed over countless years and hundreds of training classes allowing us to proudly turn out graduates who are considered to be among the best permanent makeup technicians in the industry.

Added to that, our successful foray into advanced workshops for new and seasoned technicians was broadened as a result of an applauded presentation and interactive workshop on color management, which I was proud to be chosen by the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals to present in Las Vegas. Expanded to a full day training event and re-named Color through the SkinTM these sessions bring together technicians from around the world to participate in color management, modification and correction. This yearly event is followed by the Paramedical 3D Areola/Nipple Re-pigmentation Class, a program to assist technicians help cancer survivors complete their journey of breast reconstruction. Subsequent workshops such as EliminInkTM, a Tattoo Removal Course, gives our clients a new source of revenue as well as the Slope Needle Workshop which teaches the use of a specialized needle design to provide perfect eyebrows have also been added to our menu of classes.

The re-vamping of a new website that serves as an information centre which will keep our clients abreast of new items, trade-shows and special events also has incorporated e-commerce which allows clients from around the globe to order online as if we were around the corner.

Bundle all of the above into our modern facility at the prestigious Airport Corporate Centre and it affords us the capability to teach in a spacious and pleasing new trend atmosphere for everyone participating in our training school. We are very proud of our accomplishments and where we have come from, and we are very excited about where we are going, so it is our pleasure to invite you as a potential new student to be part of our next 24 years in business.

COSMETIC TATTOOINGAN ART FORM

Your inquiry into our Permanent Makeup and Corrective Cosmetic Training Course is the first step towards a satisfying and profitable career upgrade.

You are obviously a professional with a view to increasing your range of esthetic or medical treatments or beauty services, to offer your clientele. As an existing business, the addition of cosmetic tattooing will certainly increase the income and the bottom line profit of your business but it will also keep your client from going elsewhere for a service you don’t provide.

In your line of work, a client patronizes your clinic or salon for two reasons. First they care about their appearance and second they are happy with the service and services you provide. They feel you care about how they look so it is important to your business that you make all efforts to keep yourself up-graded in the services being offered elsewhere.

We recognize the importance of the above to an existing business and to those who wish to enter this field but in the cosmetic tattooing industry, being able to say you have this service to offer is not enough. Remember, this is PERMANENT! You need, and the nature of the service demands, that you have the best possible training that is available to you.

The Micro-Pigmentation Centre Inc. offers the latest advancements in procedural techniques as well as offers the highest standards in equipment quality and products. Our Micro-Method Training Process® teaches you not only the mechanics of cosmetic tattooing but the properties and blending of pigment colors, topical anesthetic use, cross contamination controls and much more as described in the Course Curriculum.

We are proud to say that our reputation for quality training and an intensive curriculum has brought us doctors, nurses, estheticians and spa owners from around the world. We supply our products to hospitals, plastic surgeons and estheticians across North America as well as export to Australia, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South America, Spain, Switzerland and China to name some of the 42 countries we deal with.

We don’t suggest that you immediately sign up for our course because of a few words on a piece of paper. Review the enclosed information and investigate other training centers and what they have to offer. If we are your choice, rest assured that you will receive the most comprehensive training available, second to none.

TRAINING CENTRETORONTO (MISSISSAUGA) ONTARIO

CANADA

The Toronto School is conveniently located in the prestigious Airport Corporate Centre minutes away from Pearson International Airport and the three major intersecting highways of # 401, # 403 and # 427.

This location houses our showroom and is also our distribution centre for products and supplies.

The training area is completely equipped with all of the latest equipment and supplies for student use. Needles, pigments, anesthetics, gloves, cross contamination control barrier film and all necessary supplies are at your disposal for the duration of the course as part of the fee. All of your training manuals and books are also included and are sent to you on the day that you register for the course.

Our graduates over the years are now some of the most proficient cosmetic tattoo technicians in the industry. We attribute this to not only the intensiveness of our training but because we limit our class size to provide hands-on instructions with a minimum of four instructors to a maximum of eight students to ensure each one receives the undivided attention of our teachers. Each bed and trolley station in the practical area is equipped for each student to have their own equipment and necessary procedural supplies.

A separate area is used for theory sessions and is set up to allow you to consult with your models prior to the actual procedure. This area also houses a washing area as mandated by Health Canada.

The decor has been purposely structured so that it is not intimidating to students nor their clients while still maintaining the clinical appearance that you would expect.

STERILIZATION & CROSS CONTAMINATION PRECAUTIONS

In this day and age, sterilization is more important than ever before. The Micro-Pigmentation Centre is a strong advocate of sterilization and devote a lot of our time and efforts in promoting what we feel should be a mandatory requirement of cross contamination precautions to the non medical field.

Our training courses teach, and emphasize, the necessity of safe, hygienic and sterilization procedures. We have specialized Barrier Film manufactured for us to be used for Cross Contamination Control on tattoo machines, cords, holders, lights and other items to be used as protection for our technicians and their clients. We promote and supply appropriate hospital grade disinfectants designed to disinfect furniture and equipment while not causing harm to the finishes. We promote the use of latex and non latex gloves as well as nitrile gloves, disposable bed bag covers, procedural aprons, machine and cord covers, and masks and all that is needed for a safe environment for our clients and the clients of our graduates. Our school and our courses maintain the strict standards and guidelines set forth by The Centre for Disease Control & Prevention, in Atlanta Georgia and Health Canada. Our standards, and those we teach and promote, are further guided by the Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP), a non-profit organization in the United States who educate cosmetic tattooists in proper infection control practices.

Twice per year we are inspected by Health Canada inspectors and each time we receive 99.9% passing grade.

BUYER BEWARE!

Once your decision is made to add permanent makeup application to your portfolio of services, your next major decision is where to obtain the best training. How can you tell? What makes one training facility better than another? What are the differences?

The Micro-Pigmentation Centre has built the reputation of turning out top caliber graduates as well as providing a one stop shopping location for the latest machines, pigments and supplies within Canada, the U.S. and abroad.

“The Investment on your part is minimal for the financial rewards you will receive”

Now what marketing statement would not promote that? Understand that it is only true providing you know what you are doing! The only way you will know what you are doing is by receiving the best possible training available in the latest advancements and techniques. Keep in mind, this industry in one form or another, is hundreds of years old.

DID YOU KNOW:

• that there are courses being taught where the student only listens to and watches the instructorand is not allowed or given any practical experience

• that some machines in use, and still being sold, have been banned

• that there are schools who sell knock offs from China as being genuine German machines

• that each year we re-train many ex-graduates of other schools who went for the sales pitch and the price and didn’t do any research on who they were entrusting their education

• that 40% of people that come to us are to correct and unfortunately remove permanent makeup mistakes of others

• that the instructors at many of the other schools you will be talking to, received their training from us

• that the Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) in the United States requires that a teacher has performed approx. 300 procedures prior to being able to teach

• that one of the most crucial aspects of their courses not being taught is color management and corrective procedures.

Attached is a Shopping List of twelve (12) points which you should be receiving from any course you are looking at registering with. This is the minimum you should expect.

Page 8: Micro training course outline 2015

7

Buyer Beware continued...

We trust the Shopping List on the next page assists you in making the right choice of training facilities to allow you to enter this industry within an industry with confidence and required knowledge.

The market dictates a profitable price structure for performing eyeliner, lip liner, and eyebrows of anywhere from $450.00 to $950.00 per area treated, therefore the return on your investment for training and equipment is recuperated very quickly compared to other esthetic services.

Thorough and proper training will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to enter this field without apprehension as to your abilities and capabilities to perform. The Micro-Pigmentation Centre’s goal is to turn out professional graduates who will enhance this industry and enable it to grow through their ability to provide error free work for the clients. If we are your choice for training once you have researched the various facilities using the 12 point Shopping List, then simply call or register online with your deposit.

TRAINING COURSE OPTIONS

Our training courses have been tailored to meet the demands of many hours of performing practical work versus many hours of theory. The Micro-Method Training Process® was developed from a Quality Management Course that promotes the fact that all work is a process. In order to have quality work, be that of an assembly line, plastic surgeon’s procedure or micro-pigmentation procedure there must be consistency. If the process is consistent the results will be consistent. From a training perspective, all of our teachers are on the same program, therefore as a student, regardless of which teacher has you under their wing, you will receive consistent instruction. As a technician your results will be consistent. Schools without a structured training process put their graduates into the marketplace without structured procedures.

Way back when, we were the first in Canada to develop the format of a 4 day course, then a 5 day course and now a 6 day course. Our feelings on anything less is that it simply does not provide enough practical hours of hands on for newcomers. We are proud of the fact that our 6 day course duration is now being copied and offered by other training schools. By forcing competitors to keep up, it will assist the industry in quality training. These six days combine practical hands-on procedures, basic theory, and after school homework. The majority of these hours are dedicated to hands-on procedures on models supplied by the school.

FUNDAMENTAL TRAINING COURSE

Our Fundamental Training Course is in-depth, intensive and demanding. The course consists of hands-on training on models provided by the school and includes all procedures, pigment theory, sterilization and cross contamination prevention. In addition the class teaches anesthetic application, equipment education, client management, color consultation and marketing overview. Please refer to the course agenda for details. The sixth day is dedicated to specialized advanced lip lining procedures and full lip fill techniques.

ONE DAY ACADEMY WORKSHOPS

One day workshops are for the experienced technician who wants to perfect and upgrade their techniques and work out problem areas. These workshops are only offered to permanent makeup technicians who have completed a training course. The classes happen during our Fundamental Course with each workshop focusing on one area only. One day would be strictly eyebrows or one day being lips. Course supplies, models, and lunch are provided by the school. Call to discuss your requirements.

ELIMININKTM TATTOO REMOVAL COURSE

This 1 day workshop is available only to Permanent Makeup Professionals and Tattoo Artists. The course is a prerequisite of the manufacturer of the EliminInkTM product in order to properly perform the procedure before being able to purchase the product. One of the main features is that unlike lasers, it is effective on all colors. The product has its own scar inhibitors. Once again it is a hands-on course with models supplied by the school or by the student if they chose.

Page 13: Micro training course outline 2015

Training Course Options continued...

SLOPE NEEDLE COURSE

The Micro-Pigmentation Centre, Inc. is constantly pro-active in introducing the latest products and workshops to advance the knowledge and income of technicians and graduates in the Permanent Makeup industry. This advanced workshop utilizes models supplied by the school for each student for hands-on training. A complete, professionally created PowerPoint presentation outlines photographic case studies and technical examples of procedures and outcomes. A manual, all supplies, and forms are supplied as part of the training course and a buffet lunch is included. Diploma and certification will be presented upon completion. The slope needle simulates extremely fine, wispy hair strokes giving the appearance of actual hair growing out of the skin. Learn how to provide perfect symmetry of eyebrows with a natural look versus “colored in” template shapes. Designed to upgrade your technique and always be on the cutting edge of technology.

COLOR THROUGH THE SKINTM – COLOR MANAGEMENT COURSES

Effectively introduced to rave reviews at the annual meeting of the Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) in Las Vegas, the successful and sought after program was brought back to Canada and expanded to a full day clinic. Color through the SkinTM is an interactive workshop for both veteran technicians and the novice. The class teaches advanced color theory and management by the pigment manufacturer. Color corrections, color change prevention, the effects of melanin in the skin and much, much more. Participants work through a custom designed manual of problems areas to be corrected which is included in the fees along with a corresponding color wheel. This is a powerful PowerPoint and interactive presentation available to graduates, seasoned veterans and tattoo artists only. It is the difference between simply working with color versus truly knowing color.

PARAMEDICAL 3D AREOLA/NIPPLE SIMPLEX REPIGMENTATION

This is a full day workshop on advanced techniques to learn how to perform 3 dimensional looking areola/nipple tattooing techniques on breast reconstructive clients. The course outlines what is involved in breast reconstruction and how this class helps cancer survivors complete the final phase of their journey. These procedures are not simply drawing a circle and coloring in the borders. The class teaches the process of symmetry, highlights, and lowlights. The outcome and perfection of these realistic procedures have caused patients to shed a tear of happiness when they see the transformation. Practice breast mounds, color application, and mixing form part of the class.

You’ve achieved success in your field when you don’t know whether what you’re doing is work or play

Note: Some of the above time slots may be filled in by performing a procedure on another student. This is to be pre-scheduled so as not to conflict with other client/model appointments. Students who do not wish to have cosmetic tattooing performed on themselves are asked to advise the instructor at time of course registration.

OUT OF TOWN STUDENTS

The school is located at the Airport Corporate Center minutes from Pearson International Airport in Toronto, facilitating convenient fly-ins from all parts of the world. For our out of town students requiring accommodations, reasonable rates have been provided by the Homewood Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport Corporate Centre located minutes from the school. For those arriving by air, upon arrival, the Hilton will pick up our guest students at the airport and bring them to their hotels and they will transport you to the school and at day’s end pick you up at the school if it is pre-booked. We have also arranged special cab rates below for hotels that do not have an available shuttle. For those students who are driving, parking at the hotel is complimentary.

Your breakfast is provided by the Hilton and lunch is provided by the training academy and in the evening a light dinner is also provided by the Hilton from Monday to Thursday.

For other choices, there is the Sandman Signature Toronto Airport and for the more budget minded there is the Best Western Plus and the Comfort Inn, also located minutes from the school.

For ease of travel from various centers, the Micro-Pigmentation Centre is accessible from four major highways, 401, 403, 407 and 410. Located nearby, a 15–20 minutes taxi ride, are two premium shopping malls, Square One Shopping Centre being the closer of the two and the second, Sherway Gardens a bit further by 5 minutes but with shops like Holt Renfrew, Parasuco, etc.. There are many quality restaurants nearby and the staff would be pleased to recommend several for you to choose from. For the lesser fare and for those who would prefer to throw on a pair of jeans, there are many fast food outlets walking distance from the hotels.

WHAT TO BRING

Your course fee includes buffet lunch, all needles, pigments, gloves, and supplies that you will require for the for the duration of the Fundamental Training Course.

MODELS

While models are provided by the school you can use a friend or relative if pre-arranged with the office. All procedures are totally supervised by the instructors who will recognize your strengths and weaknesses long before any practical work has begun. If you are hesitant because you feel that a mistake in class is permanent, then put aside your fears. We have trained many students over the years and we have yet to send home a model with any tattoo mistakes.

JEWELLERY

All jewellery is to be removed during the hands on model procedures.

HAIR

Long hair must be completely tied back. Shorter haircuts are to be pinned back so as not to be covering the face.

LAB COAT

A lab coat is mandatory so please be sure to put it on your list and bring it along packed with enthusiasm. If you don’t have one, one may be purchased at the school.

LUNCHES

The school is conveniently set up with a refrigerator, micro-wave oven and tableware. A buffet lunch is served each day. For those of you who have special diets and need to use the refrigerator or microwave, they are totally at your disposal.
