    ExplanationExplanation

Explanation is used to deliver information, concept orcontents of lesson to the students, usually duringeliciting idea.

Usually teacher explains the teaching content by usingexamples, illustration or teaching resources.

For example, a teacher explains the life cycle of a frogusing diagram illustration.

During explanation, teacher writes the main points onthe white board so that students understands andrecords in their note books.

    Principle of Explanation Technique

Plan the teaching activity with suitable

examples and illustration. The teachingresources should be prepared early beforeenter class.

The time allocated for explanation should beshort. The students will feel bore if listen to along explanation. In order to sustain studentsinterest, stimulus variation can be applied.

    Principle of Explanation Technique

Relate the explanation with students previousknowledge so that students can follow the lesson

    easily.

The time allocated for explanation should be short. Thestudents will feel bore if listen to a long explanation. Inorder to sustain students interest, stimulus variation

    can be applied.

Encourage students to ask question after theexplanation section.

Last section in teaching and learning activities.

Activities such as summarize, reinforcement andevaluation is normally use.

It helps students to reinforcement concept or new skillthey had learned through summarization or giving

them exercise. To evaluate effectiveness of the teaching and learning

    process.

It divided into two types : Cognitive Closure

    Social Closure

    CLOSURE TECHNIQUE

    COGNITIVE CLOSURE

    SOCIAL CLOSURE

The objective is to satisfy students

achievement to ensure that they areinterested in learning.

    Normally its use reinforcement technique

To reinforce all teaching content and skills that

    students had learned.

it can be done by :

    summarize activities

    reinforcement activities re-exercise activities

    STEPS IN IMPLEMENTATION

    1. Make summarizes and conclusion on what had learned

by write down important note on white board

    2. Give a written exercise to students (in exercise book or

    exercise sheet).

    3. Give an enrichment activities to students

    4. Ask students the important content that they had learned.

    The Principle Using Closure Technique

    1. Closure should suitable with an objective, a contentand a new skill that students learned at development

    stage.

    2. Summarize, reinforcement and re-exercise activities

need to plan systematically to make sure cognitive

closure can be carried out perfectly.

    3. Besides cognitive closure, social closure also need

to carry out in the end of lesson.

    4. Except reinforcement and re-exercise activities,

cognitive and social closure should finish not more 5

    minutes.

    5. Evaluation activities can be used in the end of

lesson to evaluate achievement of lesson objectives.

    OBJECTIVES OF CLOSING SKILLS

There are five objectives that use in micro-

    teaching.

    1. Ensure closing skills become effective which it wouldgive

student clearly understand the topic and they know and

try to imagine how they learn.

    2. To give student clearlyknow andunderstand the concepts

as well as develop new skills. They also can summary

    and do writingwhat they learn.

    OBJECTIVES OF CLOSING SKILLS

    3. To motivate the student with shows the situation that

previous student successful in their study by using

    enforcement technique.

    4. Using evaluation activities to evaluate learning objective

(LO) and teaching and learning activities, to give student

thinkwidely and modifyin the future learning.

    5. Lastly, closing objectives can give student apply the

    concepts andnewskills with the opportunitygiven.

    IMPLICATION

    TEACHING & LEARNING PROCESS

If closing skills of objectives would achieve with

    higher satisfies, teacher should be able;

    1. To create more activities to student that they can be

masterin the topic base on the concepts and at the same

    time develop newskills.

    2. As a conclusion according to the cognitive learning,

student can summaries the important facts that they are

    learn.

    IMPLICATION

    TEACHING & LEARNING PROCESS

    3. Using the social conclusion such as to give an

achievement feeling to studentso that they would motivate

to try and always effortin what they do.

    4. Through the assessment activity , teacher can determine

the achievement of the lear ning objective. This

assessment result can drive teacher forusing the suitablemethod and lesson plan for the next lesson.
