UAT Status

August 16th – September 17th : User Acceptance Testing

IBM’s most recent snapshot of Vignette was taken on July 14th 2010. A delta load to Production WCM Authoring will be made from that data.

IBM will syndicate this data to Production Rendering before August 16th 2010.

UAT Process Involvement

Who should be involved in the UAT process Site Admins will lead their teams All current CMA users will be involved. Users’ depth of involvement will vary. All CMA users will login into WCM-Authoring at least

once.

What needs to be tested during UAT. All web sites in the WCM Production Portal. Production WCM Authoring/Content Entry

Role and Responsibilities

All CMA users need to review their site(s). Similar to the Site Previews, we expect each site to receive a

complete walk through, including page by page content comparison and complete link checking.

This is your last opportunity to catch any defects or discrepancies that will need to be corrected prior to the launch.

All CMA users need to log in to the WCM Authoring (CMA) to ensure that they can & that their logins are correct. If you have login issues please contact Doug Witten

[email protected]. Please title the Subject of the email “WCM Login Issue”

Site Admin Responsibilities Coordinate testing process with site web team Review site look and feel, content validation, link testing Correct issues as necessary and assist site team in correcting issues Test Site Admin WCM tasks:

Create Site Areas Permission assignment Access Rights Default content pages

Page Layouts creation in WCM We are looking for Site Admin volunteers to test the Page Layouts in

WCM. If you are interested, please send an email to Jacob Pratt with the

Subject line “WCM Site Admin UAT”. Once we have our list of Site Administrators we will assign each one a

Page Layout or multiple Layouts depending upon the number of volunteers.

Content Author Responsibilities

Content Authors Username and Password Site Area Access Content entry in WCM Access migrated content Add content using Authoring Templates Edit, expire, delete content

What to report as a defect

Similar to the site previews, there will be certain number of defects that IBM will still be working on and we will provide that list on the Migration websites in the UAT section.

Submit all defects using the UAT Defect Report Form. Send the form to Jacob Pratt [email protected] and

title the Subject line “WCM UAT – Your Site”
