IELA REPORT 59 2

C O N T E N T S

I write these notes during a quiet Sundayafternoon at Farnborough where a mini IELA seems to be taking place alongside the famous airshow. As well as a large CEVAcrew , there are friendshere from Otim, TWI,Schenker, Transit AirCargo, BTG, IshikawaGumi, Expotrans andClamageran. With aweek of build-up leftwe'll doubtless bejoined by a few others. So Farnboroughbecomes a minicongress following theterrific annual congress we enjoyed inMelbourne last month. Thosemembers who weren't able to attendreally missed a trick. A great hotel, absorbing business sessions, afantastic social programme- andoutstanding Aussie wines - all of thiswrapped in the inimitable IELA spirit, generating a truly memorablemeeting. Thanks to Bob Moore andRon Koehler, our hosts, for theirexcellent organisation and generoushospitality not to mention theunselfish use of their and theircolleagues’ time. I should alsomention our numerous Melbournesponsors who really demonstratedtheir appreciation of IELA in a clearand tangible manner. This is verymuch appreciated by the Board and secretariat.

A key feature of our Melbournecongress was the introduction of ournew secretariat staff and in particularour Executive Director, Declan Ganeand Association Secretary, TrevorFoley. I was delighted with the

reaction to both of themand the warm welcomethey received. Declan's"string-pulling" behindthe scenes and Trevor'sinimitable stagepresence really made anindelible mark on themeeting and gave themthe opportunity towitness first hand theIELA family gathering. They have learned

plenty from the experience - as wewill all see in London next year. I canhardly wait!!

A number of changes to ourinternal rules were discussed inMelbourne, resulting in a process forrecruiting new members which is nowmuch more flexible and manageable. This will enable the Board to respondmore quickly and readily to the floodof new member applicationsgenerated by our enthusiastic newsecretariat. It may surprise you toknow that they have generated 10 fullapplications since taking over inMarch. A great performance as welook towards our target of 150members in 2010.

This magic number of 150 in 2010raises genuine questions surroundingQuality versus Quantity. I can be veryexplicit here and say, quitecategorically, that no new memberwill be approved by the Board untiland unless all qualitativerequirements are met. There will beno reduction in quality in order to

Way back in 2006 the Board of Managementat the time recognised that IELA, successfulas it is, needed to make structural changesto secure its long term future. The currentChairman updated us on each pointidentified in the ‘Brussels Roadmap’ duringhis address to congress, which you can findon page 8. Tasked with delivering on theseobjectives, the new secretariat is workinghard in a number of areas, not least inspeeding up and streamlining the decisionmaking process.

Having lost a few members at the end of2007, we are now back up to 106companies from 44 countries. Membershipwas a topic widely discussed at congressand we have been very pleasedsubsequently to have 20+ ‘good agents’recommended to us by members aspossible new IELA members, many from‘White Spot’ countries that have no IELArepresentation. With a target set in Brusselsfor 150 members by 2010 we are focusedon growing IELA’s family without dilutingthe quality of member that is so revered.

The next thing to look out for are fourRegional Chapters in Asia Pacific / Oceania,Europe, the Americas and Africa & theMiddle East. We plan to arrange meetings ineach region culminating at the WinterSeminar in Bangkok in January. Theseinaugural gatherings aim to bring regionalmembers together, establish each Chapter, discuss ‘local’ issues and produce a mini-map with objectives and solutions for eachregion. Additionally, they will be a greatshowcase for IELA in each region and make

an ideal recruiting event for non-members.You’ll see also in the report from John

Harrison (page 10) detailing the work of theOrganiser’s Committee that much activityand promotion has taken place and willcontinue to do so. Developing thecommittee’s focus of online activity, a smallWorking Group has been established to re-develop the IELA website under the auspicesof Christoph Rauch. The aim is to make theIELA website more useful, more informativeand more interactive for all stakeholders –members, clients, suppliers and prospects. So if you want a say, contact me with whatyou would like to see on IELA Web 2.0.

There is much to do, and as ever it is theextraordinary input and dedication of IELAmembers that make it all possible, so thanksonce again to all of you who are so involvedright now and to those on the sidelines andnew to our family, our message is, getinvolved. You get out as much as you put in.

UFI ASIA REPORT

Continued demand from Brazil,Russia, India and China, theBRIC markets, is helping to keepthe meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions(Mice) industry outlookoptimistic despite economicuncertainty, according to a postshow survey at Imex in Frankfurtlast month.

Based on the responses of515 corporate buyers, agencies, association leaders, suppliers and other relevantindustry professionals from 46countries the survey showedthat many buyers in Germany, the UK and the US, primarysource markets for much of theMice industry, were reporting"business as usual".

These latest findings echothose in the Imex QuarterlyBarometer (April 2008), whichshowed that the meetings andincentive travel sector was "stillconfident" in the face ofeconomic fluctuations and that

many predicted at least modestgrowth over the next 12 months.Asked how the currenteconomic climate would affectthe sector, comments rangedfrom "It will stay the same - verysteady business," and "Thesector will grow further andbecome more important in thefuture" from Austrian andGerman respondents, to "Notmuch difference - businesses willstill have to meet in order to getthings done" and "Have notseen any impact just yet," fromseveral US participants.

Imex chairman Ray Bloomsaid, "Many commentatorsargue that this industryincorporates many 'recession-proof' qualities becauseexecutives need to confer andtalk, and because corporateproductivity is measurablyimproved by using motivationalstrategies. These latest findingsseem to confirm that this beliefstill holds true."

Accelerated Decision MakingAs a Board we are utilising allavailable technology to help usimprove and increase the speedof decision making. With keyplayers spread betweenMelbourne, Las Vegas, UK,Germany and Italy this is notalways easy. So we make full useof email, Web surveys, ftp filesharing and Teleconferencing. We’ve also employed desktopsharing and other IT facilities tofacilitate instant voting andmuch faster decisions. So, we’re on track.

MembershipWe have a goal of 150 membersin 2010. The strategic actions ofsome of our Agilitymemberships combined withsome consolidations have givenus a false start. However, on anextremely positive note we areseeing unprecedented levels ofmembership enquiries andrecord numbers of applications -ten full applications since March. Two new members since our lastBoard meeting (good examplesof our faster decision making atwork), two more acceptedyesterday and three more toreview on Thursday.

We’ve massively improved theactual membership process andare very proactively canvassingprospective new members withquality uppermost in everyone’sthinking. There will be noerosion of new member quality.

So, again, although we allrecognise that it is a toughtarget…we are on track.

Congress EnhancementOur annual congress is acornerstone of IELA. We aredetermined to deliver a bigger and better congress year on year. This means greatfocus from the Board withextremely careful analysis ofVenue selection - Region, Cityand Hotel.

Content is vital. Delivering thebest speakers, an increasinglyattractive format, relevantpresentations and excellentscope for our sponsors. Timingis also very much on our radar:What is the best time of year, considering the industrycalendar, regional climaticconditions and other factors. What should be the duration ofthe congress, shall we span aweekend? All of these things areunder constant review in theBoard and will, I am sure, delivermore attractive, valuable andwell attended meetings. We’llhave a great time here inMelbourne and go again inLondon in 09.

An interesting facet of theRoadmap is our intention todeliver more new events. Takethe Winter Seminar. Held everytwo years in Zurich anddeliberately limited in size. Thisyear we agreed to test the waterand remove the limit of delegate

numbers. It was a roaringsuccess, so we’re taking theWinter Seminar annual and nextyear we’re heading for Asia.Bangkok here we come. Watchthis space!

We hold at least three BoardMeetings a year and havedecided to widen the agenda. In Hong Kong in October weinvited local members andinitiated a fledgling AsianChapter as a part of ourstrategic aim to counter anyeuro-centric perceptionssurrounding IELA. More on thistopic later. For our next Boardmeetings we’re aiming for a UKNetworking session in October2008. Then in January we’ll goback to back with the BangkokSeminar and try for apartnering session. I can sharewith you that the IELA

Executive Seminar is back onthe Board’s radar and thatthere is a lot of discussionsurrounding possible Ops Clubmeetings. So, again, we’remore than on track and arereally delivering.

Legal StructureIt is becoming increasingly clearthat our status as a SwissCooperative that has served usso well in the past is becominguntenable as we move forward.

This status creates a Profitexpectation with the Swissauthorities and thereforegenerates annual fiscal filingimplications, high audit costsand various other bureaucraticissues. A decision has beenmade to move IELA to the statusof a non profit association. Thisremoves any nationality burden -we currently require a majorityof Swiss residents on the Board of Directors - it meansmuch lower audit costs andsimplified bureaucracy.

To achieve this there areseveral bridges still to cross. We need to determine theextent of any Swiss Tax liabilities and pin down anywinding up costs. How do wetransition the Share capital? What are the best timeframes? These and other questions willbe explored and resolved before

The focus of my report is an update on our2010 strategic plan, The Brussels Roadmap.

So where are we against the plan targets? We’re notbogged down. No risk of drowning. Speed is controlled. We’re sharing the driving amongst the Board andCommittee leaders. We’re cornering safely. We’re oncourse, as will become clear from these specifics….

we present, in London, ourproposal for transition andsolution for a new legal structurewhich best fits the present andfuture needs of IELA.

As you can see, we aremaking genuine progress on allfronts and are on track for our2010 goal.

I mentioned earlier that theBoard is keen to address anyEuro-centric perceptionssurrounding IELA. Our recentefforts have been centred uponan Asian Chapter which wasinitiated at our October BoardMeeting in Hong Kong. We arecurrently scoping theopportunities and have theinitiative under local review witha launch target of January 2009at the Bangkok Winter Seminar.

Previously we had initiated aMiddle East Chapter at ourDubai Board Meeting in late2007. At present the initiative isstalled and in need of refocus. Itwill be revisited on the basis oflocal member wishes. If theywant it, we will build it!

In addition we can also pointto our last two congresses beingheld outside Europe - Santiagoand Melbourne. This is further

evidence of the Board’sdetermination to see IELA reflecta truly global membership.

In closing I would like toupdate you on my own personalgoals, created since I wasinstalled as Chairman last year. Iwant to see IELA’s focus shiftfrom internal to external. Ofnecessity we have spent muchrecent time on the selection andtransfer of our secretariat. Thishas required more than onceoverhaul of IELA’s Articles andBylaws and, of course, we arestill exploring the Legaltransition from a Swisscooperative. What I intend to doin my retirement speech inLondon next year is share withyou how we have created new, genuine Membership Benefits, increased the value and qualityof your IELA Membership. Iwant to broaden the leadershipof IELA - new Board membersand committee chairs and helpto deliver the Brussels Roadmap.

My final aim, as an unpaid, volunteer – to have fun in what Ifirmly believe is a great industrywith many great people.

See you in London!

IELA COMMITTEE NEWS

In a way, I believe it’s fair tosay that the IELA OrganizerCommittee had a “definingmoment” in Melbourne. TheCommittee and others achievedconsensus. We “signed on” tothe notion that the committee’s:

MISSION IS RECOGNITIONWhy? Because RECOGNITION=BRANDING=BUSINESSThis slogan gives us a quick andidentifiable purpose. I commendthe motivation of the OrganizerCommittee members, bothestablished and new members, and others, for helping tosharpen and redefine the focus ofthe Committee’s efforts and theincentive to move forward.

The Committee has a strategyto produce quantifiablerecognition. It’s demonstrated invarious ways: sponsorships ofand membership in industryOrganizations/Associations (forexample, sponsorship of theECEF FORUM in the US),educational seminar formats(Achim Lotzwick will againparticipate on behalf of IELA atthe UFI Summer Seminar inCologne) and, I suggest thequickest and most cost-effectiveway---reciprocal IELA links toindustry Organization andAssociation web sites.

There is the intention tocontinually improve and enhancethe IELA web site. This createsIELA value. It will attract ourindustry partners to IELA.Because, nowadays, anassociation such as IELA is notcomplete until it becomes thenucleus of a living web site, aforum for supplementarymaterials, reactions, discussions, questions and answers----who knows what the future may bring?

Everyone in our industryshould recognize that the IELAweb site is the definitiveauthority, the “go to” placeregarding internationalexhibition/events logistics.Progressive development of thesite is essential; all the morereason, we need complete IELAmember support, considerationand ideas for the web site!

As I write this, it’s not been a

full month since the conclusion ofthe IELA Congress in Melbourne. But, I’ll review what’s alreadyhappened since then:• Sandi Trotter of TWI, almost

immediately after theMelbourne Congress, established a web link with theCANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF EXPOSITIONMANAGEMENT (CAEM).

• Elaine Wong of Baltransproduced a connection with theHONG KONG EXHIBITION &CONVENTION INDUSTRYASSOCIATION (HKECIA).

• Suelhi Montilha of Nazha &Darwish did so with the PUBLICESTABLISHMENT FORINTERNATIONAL FAIRS &EXHIBITIONS (PEIFE) in Syria.

• Sam Lee of Kemi-Lee in Koreais not only doing the same withthe KOREAN EXHIBITIONSERVICE PROVIDER’SASSOCIATION (KESPA) butalso proposing a ReciprocityAgreement with KESPA.

• John Chadwick of Airways inthe US has confirmed that theEXHIBIT DESIGNER’S ANDPRODUCERS ASSOCIATION(EDPA) will link to IELA. Johnwill also be speaking to theEXHIBITOR APPOINTEDCONTRACTORSASSOCIATION (EACA) ---another significant organizationin the US about the samearrangement.

• Miguel Lara of Jaguar in Mexico has alreadyapproached THE MEXICANPROFESSIONALORGANIZERS, PARTICIPANTSAND VENUE ASSOCIATIONS(AMPROFEC); it’s to beconsidered at their next Board meeting.

• Marcelo Paradela of Waiver in Brazil will do so with UNIAO BRASILEIRA DOSPROMOTORES FEIRAS(UBRAFE).

• Declan Gane has linked IELA tothe CONWORLD web site---“The Global Meetings Industry Portal”. Not bad for less than 30 days! Also, on June 19th, John

Chadwick and I represented IELAas a sponsor of the Exhibition &

Convention Executive’s Forum inWashington DC. This is thepremier Organizer/AssociationEvent Producer gathering in theUS; both US and internationalshows are represented. Over 150CEO’s attended the Forum. While there, I was fortunate tohave a conversation with MichaelHart, Editor in Chief of TRADESHOW WEEK who is veryinterested in providing “press”for IELA in future editions of thepublication. Declan willcoordinate! More will follow onthe ECEF.

I would be remiss if I did notmention two other examples ofthe kind of talent, influence andcharacter IELA has among itsmembers. When noticed thatIELA was not reciprocally linkedto the EXHIBITION+EVENTSASSOCIATION OFAUSTRALASIA (EEAA), RobMoore, one of that association’sprominent members rectified thesituation in LESS THAN 24HOURS! It can’t get any betterthan that: fast and decisive.

Ravinder Sethi, in addition tohis on going efforts with UFI,assumes a formidable task for theOrganizer Committee. Within theINTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATIONOF EXHIBITIONS+EVENTS(IAEE) resides the AsianExhibition Council---35 directors, the “who’s who” of the exhibitionIndustry in Asia. Ravinder, as oneof those Directors, will approachhis colleagues on the Council toestablish an IELA link with theirindividual associations in thatimportant, significant sector ofour industry. It’s a timeconsuming challenge. But, oneperfectly fit and suited to a pastChairman of IELA. No doubt, hewill succeed.

Finally, I would like to thankTrevor Foley and Declan Gane &staff for a fine effort inMelbourne. Among their manyefforts, what was also on offer inMelbourne was their stature, andexperience in our industry. This, not only complements the effortsof the Organizer Committee, butaccelerates our progress. Italready has. Thank you and untilnext time, I wish all of you well!

Goal ! Nothing like Euro2008 and all the great goalsand the great teams playing.Well, just like the goal infootball, the goal of ourMembership Committee asyou all know is 150 members.

In Melbourne, we worked ourway, crawled our way to thisgoal by the acceptance ofRogers Malaysia just prior tothe Melbourne GeneralAssembly. During our time inMelbourne, the board reviewed7 applications and acceptedAirlink Qatar, JES LogisticsHong Kong and FulstandigBrazil. The other applicationsare still under review andseeking clarification at this time. Now with 106 members, we areworking our way towards ourprevious membership level of113 members when we lastreported our status in Santiago. As you know, we have had theresignation of some of ourmembers in Asia and Lebanon,as well as some mergers.

Going forward on our path, today, I just counted 16companies that my owncompany deals with on aregular basis, or knows of as solid competitors thatshould be part of IELA. Theseare true exhibition companiessteeped in the tradition ofevent logistics.

My challenge to all of you isto let us know what companiesyou work with that are not partof IELA but should be a part ofIELA. If I can count 16companies in 10 minutes ofresearch, then you too can do

the same. Look at your agentslist and give me some names.Send me an email [email protected]. Thebenefits of joining IELA aremany times intangible, butcertainly a key focus. In ourcompany, we have a strongcredit policy, but are morelenient with IELA Members. Weconstantly push IELA membersto the rest of our team when weneed to decide who to workwith. We recommend IELAPartners to other agents thatare not yet members of IELA.We are keeping most of ourbusiness within the IELAAssociation. This is notmandatory, but it makes good, not great, business sense! What are some of the benefitsyou have discovered as beingpart of IELA? Let me know.

The committee is certainlychallenged at the present time. Our overriding philosophy isquality vs. quantity. We onlywant quality. When you mix thiswith a quantifiable goal of 150members, then it becomesquite a challenge to balance thetwo. These are not mutuallyexclusive goals, but the lineseparating the two is very fineindeed. We are wanting toreduce the bureaucracy of themembership process. We wantto reduce the 30 day waitperiod that the members ofIELA have to approve anapplicant to 14 calendar days.We want to have all theapplications filled out on lineand via the website. We want tointroduce email voting to the

process, so that we are notlimited to the physical boardmeetings which take place onlythree times a year. At the sametime, we see the need toinvestigate the details ofapplications much more and toqualify applicants much more asthe applicant pool expands.

We are also exploring theidea of introducing differentMembership Rates based onmembership levels for smallcompanies that have staff of 5or less, and for largeMultinational Corporations thathave many exhibitiondepartments around the world.

The membership committeewill focus on our goal of 150members, quality members andwe will meet our goal by 2010.We will start now and we willbring success. More membersmeans more financial stability, more choice, and more ideas! All this will lead to morebusiness for all of us.

IELA REPORT 5912

IELA COMMITTEE NEWS

What’s news in the world of Standards?

The last committee meetingduring the IELA congress inMelbourne in May broughtabout some new ideas. Withapologies from some of theStandards Committee members, the membersrepresented in Melbourne(Christoph Rauch, DavidRichards, Neil Goatcher, TijenOzer and I) put our headstogether for new thoughts and processes.

So let’s take a look at that lastmeeting in Melbourne…………

Firstly, I would like to thank allmembers of the StandardsCommittee for welcoming me asthe new Chairperson of theStandards Committee. It’s a greatteam to be in, and I’m lookingforward to working witheveryone. Any input, new ideas, brainstorming is always welcome!

Above all, however, I wouldlike to express my sincere thanksto Neil Goatcher for his greatwork and enthusiasmthroughout his years asChairman of the StandardsCommittee. He certainlybrought the IELA Standards ofPerformance to new levels withthe successful program of theIELA Standard surveys.

So what did we come up within Melbourne? Some ideas were:• that the committee should

investigate new improvedquestions for the currentStandard Surveys.

• that there had been issuessurrounding the security andlogins to the online system,

which would need to beaddressed (it was decided thatNeil Goatcher would meet withDeclan Gane to discuss).

• that the committee agreed to anew fine system of billing atthe beginning of the year, together with the membershipfees, and to reimburse theagent on completion of thesurvey. This option was alsodiscussed with all participantsat the IELA congress, and avote of hands showed theagents to be clearly in favour ofthe new method. From now on,the new system will apply.

• that we would be looking fornew ideas. A “standard forfinancials” was discussed, meaning audits of the financialsof existing members, howeverthis was considered too highrisk, and should be handled viaself policing. Another newapproach was a “qualitystandard”, not dissimilar toISO, however tailor-made forour industry.Looking behind the scenes of

the committees, within theStandards Committee, we are tomonitor the standards ofperformance for site agents andexport agents. For all membersof IELA, this means that everyoneneeds to ensure that we monitorour own performance levels andthose of our agents bycompleting the IELA Surveys.

The somewhat sluggish startwhen it came to completing IELASurveys some years ago haschanged – with noticeableincreases in the amount ofsurveys completed these days wenow have a powerful tool in our

hands. So thank you to all ofthose IELA members that takethe time to complete theStandard Surveys – it is a crucialstep for our success!

It is important that wecontinue this trend, simply toknow that being an IELA memberequals quality when it comes toevent logistics.

The IELA Surveys are a bigpart of the StandardsCommittee, and we urge everymember to keep completing thesurveys, yet we also have to startshifting the focus to “newthings”, looking at qualitysystems, standard forms, etc.

The future should see usstepping up further – and for thiswe need everyone’s input. Any“fresh new ideas” for theStandards Committee – send mean email, call me, and let meknow! Stay tuned…..

The Training Committee isactively working on the WinterSeminar’s debut event in Asia inJanuary, 2009. This seminar willparallel its Zurich predecessorin format and content. It isscheduled for January 15-18,2009 at The Davis Hotel inBangkok, Thailand.

Many of the widely popularsessions from Zurich will beincluded in the upcoming WinterSeminar – the “speed dating”introduction session, the hands-on discussion of tariffs and theirapplications, the customsworkshop that focuses on 3regions of the world and ishighlighted by group casestudies which are researched andsolved by the students. Otherpresentations during the 4-dayevent will include a brief historyof IELA, the responsibilities ofsite agents and export agents, the IELA standards, customerservice tips, the Ops Club as wellas featured industry guestspeakers. An agent’s forum isalso being planned so thatstudents will have dedicated timeto discuss topics of interest withagents of their choice. Thetraditional day-out is also

planned for the students – but itcertainly won’t be a day in thesnow like at the Zurich meetings!

All presentations are made byIELA members and seasonedindustry professionals. Studentswill have several opportunities tonetwork with the presenters andIELA Board members during theWinter Seminar.

The Winter Seminar is open toemployees of an IELA member. The cost will remain the same asat past meetings and includes theseminar registration andmaterials, hotel accommodations, lunch and coffee breaks, receptions and excursions. Fulldetails, session descriptions andregistration information will beavailable to the IELA membershipwill be available this summer.

IELA will also host a partneringevent for members and guests inconjunction with the WinterSeminar. This will be held onSaturday, January 17.

Another project beingresearched by the committee forconsideration for the near futureis a training seminar for middlemanagement employees. Theagenda would encompass topicslike leadership skills, finanace /

budgeting, sales & marketing, business communications, performance standards, just tomention a few. This would be atwo-day format and likely be heldin a European venue to start.

The Training Committee andguest Erkki Koski (SuomenMessulogistikka) last met duringthe General Assembly inMelbourne in May to discuss andfinalize many of the abovedetails. Additional “meetings”will be held via email in thecoming months as needed.Members of the committee arelisted below and I would like tothank Greg Keh who has decidedto leave the committee in orderto concentrate on his upcomingresponsibilities as IELA’sChairman-elect and AchimLotzwick who stood down ascommittee chairman inMelbourne. His direction, dedication and tireless work ethicwill be sorely missed. Theknowledge that the studentsgained and the long-termbusiness contacts that they madeat the Winter Seminars under hischairmanship are testimony tothe tremendous job he did forthe association.

During the customs part ofthe Congress again thecooperation and obligation ofthe members to get thecustoms database on thewebsite as up to date andaccurate as possible washighlighted. This year the input of themembership was better thanbefore and gives the CustomsCommittee the feeling that theyare not standing alone in theirefforts to maintain the quality ofthe flagship of the IELA website. This year only 8 countries remainedunverified, some of them becauseof their ever fluctuating regulationsand interpretations by localcustoms offices, some of thembecause we do not have anymember in the country itself andsome of them because themembers did not reply to the

repeated requests for assistance. This year, Russia, Kazachstan,

Nigeria, Tunisia, Libya, Vietnam,Mauritius and Israel were notupdated. During the Congressthe update for Israel wassupplied by Ron Berry of AmitLtd Israel. The CustomsCommittee was very happy withhis immediate reaction. BruceCutillo of Elite in Thailandvolunteered to update theVietnam data as soon as possible. For the countries with thefrequently changing rules andregulations, special warningshave been added to the customsinformation on the website inorder to alert any user forpossible inaccuracy for thesecountries in particular.

The board however agreed toask every member for itscooperation and is even willing to

make the yearly update of thecustoms information mandatory, like the way members areobliged to do when they firstbecome member of IELA. Ofcourse in our association suchinput should be on a voluntarybasis and not have been imposedby the highest body. So lateNovember early December thisyear all members will be asked togive their updates, even whenthere is more than one memberin a country. This avoids the workbeing put on the shoulders of aonly few members of theCustoms Committee. This waywe will have an extra check onthe accuracy of the actualinformation by comparing thevarious data. And it gives theopportunity for all our membersto feel involved themselves withour wonderful association.
