Certification
The Astronautics 6 x 8 Electronic Flight Instrument System
(EFIS)is an integrated glass cockpit certified for use airborne
applications.The EFIS provides functions of Primary Flight and
Navigation withseveral functional overlays. Designed around an
Active MatrixLiquid Crystal Display (AMLCD), these displays are
capable ofreceiving and processing data from RNAV/FMS/GPS
(ARINC-429/702), Autopilot/Flight Director and TCAS Systems,
navigation,radios (VOR, DME, ADF), Color Weather Radar (ARINC-453
orvideo) and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System. The EFISalso
has cross-talk interface capabilities, as well as optional videoand
Engine Instrument and Crew Alert (EICAS) interfaces. TheEFIS
consists of 4-6 EFIS displays and 2 display controllers.

available.
