Concept to Completion WorkflowFLOW™ — A work flow project management software designed to streamline project development from start to finish. Featuring a “project-at-a-glance” user interface, FLOW™ makes it possible for the manufacturer to easily manage every aspect of a project, from sales through installation. The software was created to improve project management and information flow for the steel framing manufacturer. FLOW™ introduces a new level of simplicity and convenience to the management process. One of its biggest advantages is its function as a central project database. At any stage in project development, the manufacturer can pull a variety of information from a single source. The software lets the manufacturer store, track and locate all the information related to a project in one location. It provides up-to-date reporting and tracking for bids, material orders, contracts and other documents. Additionally, FLOW™ makes scheduling easy by placing calendars and detailed reports right at your fingertips. As an integral part of the FUSE™ system, FLOW™ provides a project management platform equipped with everything a manufacturer needs, from lead management to project closeout. The software is available in multiple suites—G-40, G-60, and G-90—each one created to meet the individual needs of the manufacturer. G40 meets the basic requirements for a steel manufacturer, including the ability to manage a customer database and the bid process. G60 expands these capabilities to manage actual production and installation. G90 delivers multiple add-on features such as invoicing and contract management to provide the most comprehensive concept to completion process.

FORM™ — As the project moves from concept to completion, the designs created in FLEX™ are transferred to FORM™, where the components are produced, printed, and ready for assembly.

The MC-X Series of rollformers rapidly produce 24-16-gauge (0.027 to 0.066 in/0.6 to 1.5 mm) steel studs, joists, and trusses for a wide-range of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. The MC-X2 rollformer gives the option of any two of our five profile sizes in order to customize your machinery to market needs. For those looking for greater production options, the MC-X5 produces five ‘C’ stud, five ‘C’ track and five ‘U’ track profiles, while offering a quick and simple changeover between profiles.

Every frame component is produced ready for assembly: cut to length,pre-punched with index or service holes, swedged, dimpled, and notched.Additionally, a part identifier matching fabrication drawings is printed directly on each component by an ink jet printer to assist in rapid assembly.

The rollformer produces the components for each roof truss, floor truss, floor joist, or wall panel batch in the optimal order for assembly. Orders can bescheduled and downloaded to the production floor, production can be tracked in real time, and reports can be generated for review. Multiple computer ports allow designers to generate files remotely and transfer them to the controller by USB, cable, or Internet. The system can switch between 12 languages to make operation possible worldwide.

FORM™ makes it possible to assemble structures rapidly—without using costly, time-consuming jigs—by snapping the components together without clamping or drilling. Assembly crews no longer need expensive jig tables and meticulous measurements, reducing the need for a highly skilled workforce and thus making FUSE™ the ideal steel framing system for the global market.

FLEX™ — The versatile design engineering platform for the FUSE™ system that ultimately generates data files for the rollformer. In an industry marked by multiple design engineering software, FLEX™ offers the ability to choose a software that meets the requirements for your project, and seamlessly integrate it into the FUSE™ steel framing system. Flexibility is the key to this innovative platform, and FLEX™ makes it possible to utilize a preferred engineering software to effectively generate output files for production and fabrication.

The software starts with the basic geometry of the structure in order to construct a 3D model. The structure is then engineered with specific engineering presets in keeping with regional standards. AutoCAD files can be quickly and easily imported into the software, or designs can be input manually. All vertical, wind, and seismic loads are developed according to regional building codes, or they can be tailored to individual design specifications. Once the engineering analysis is complete, the designer has the ability to optimize all components, such as trusses, joists and walls, based on desired material sizes, gauges or configurations for the specific load requirements. All necessary output files such as calculation reports, fabrication drawings, cut lists, material lists, and integrated production files for the rollformer are generated. The software generates output for every roof truss, floor truss, floor joist, and wall panel with appropriate reports for the engineer of record, fabricators, and the rollformer operator.

For estimation purposes, material, labor, transportation, and a host

of other cost factors can be tailored within FLEX™ to accurately represent project costs. Again, the key to this software

is flexibility — and FLEX™ provides an integrated engineering platform with the versatility

required to design and manufacture the highest quality steel framed

structures on the market.
