a Based upon product analysis. For seamless pipe with t > 20,0 mm (0.787 in), the carbon equivalent limits shall be as agreed. The CEiiw limits apply if the carbon mass fraction is greater than 0,12 % and the CEpcm limits apply if the carbon mass fraction is less than or equal to 0,12 %.

b For each reduction of 0,01 % below the specified maximum for carbon, an increase of 0,05 % above the specified maximum for manganese is permissible, up to a maximum of 1,65 % for grades ≥ L245 or B, but ≤ L360 or X52; up to a maximum of 1,75 % for grades >L360 or X52, but < L485 or X70; up to a maximum of 2,00 % for grades ≥L485 or X70, but ≤ L555 or X80; and up to a maximum of 2,20 % for grades >L555 or X80.

c Unless otherwise agreed , the sum of the niobium and vanadium concentrations shall be ≤ 0,06 %.

d The sum of the niobium, vanadium and titanium concentrations shall be ≤ 0,15 %.

e Unless otherwise agreed, 0,50 % maximum for copper, 0,30 % maximum for nickel, 0,30 % maximum for chromium and 0,15 %

maximum for molybdenum.

f Unless otherwise agreed.

g Unless otherwise agreed, the sum of the niobium, vanadium and titanium concentrations shall be ≤ 0,15 %.

h Unless otherwise agreed, 0,50 % maximum for copper, 0,50 % maximum for nickel, 0,50 % maximum for chromium and 0,50 %

maximum for molybdenum.

i Unless otherwise agreed, 0,50 % maximum for copper, 1,00 % maximum for nickel, 0,50 % maximum for chromium and 0,50 %

maximum for molybdenum.

j 0,004 % maximum for boron.

9.2 Chemical compostion

9.2.4 For PSL 2 pipe with a product analysis carbon mass fraction equal to or less than 0,12 %, the carbon equivalent, CEpcm, shall

be determined using Equation (2):

where the symbols for the chemical elements represent the mass fraction in percent (see Table 5).

.If the heat analysis for boron is less than 0,000 5 % then it is not necessary for the product analysis to include boron, and the boron content may be considered to be zero for the CEpcm calculation.

9.2.5 For PSL 2 pipe with a product analysis carbon mass fraction greater than 0,12 % the carbon equivalent, CE llw shall be

determined using Equation (3):

where the symbols for the chemical elements represent the mass fraction in percent (see Table 5).

NOTE: A derogation from the ISO rules for the presentation of chemical equations has been granted for Equations (2) and (3) in

deference to their longstanding use in the industry.

We utilizes a series of quality-controlled checkpoints and inspections that ensure an end product that meets specifications

and exceeds your expectations. It all begins with the best in raw material.

SECTION 1 – RAW MATERIAL PROCUREMENT

Quality control is embedded into all steps of our production process, beginning with the purchase of raw material. We use

only high-quality, continuous-cast, fully killed, control-rolled, fine-grain, low-carbon steel. This coil is supplied by a

number of reliable, reputable suppliers like Bao Steel,Wuhan Steel,Anshan Steel,POSCO,NKK which for many years. Coil

inventory is stored in a computer database and each coil is marked and checked based on database identification.

SECTION 2 –STRIP PREPARATION

The strip preparation section is designed for the shortest possible coil joining times, constant strip tension and precise strip

alignment and thus ensures the stable operation of the tube welding line. In the cross-welder, the ends of the coils are

cropped, precisely aligned and welded together. Simultaneously, a hole is punched in the center of the strip indicating the

cross-weld position to be detected later at the front of the tube mill.

SECTION 3 – STRIP ACCUMULATING

The system is to store the coils in “ externally in and internally out, top in and bottom out” form, to ensure continuous

feeding and production. A continuous production process is ensured by the use of the horizontal spiral strip accumulator

which bridges the standstill time in the strip preparation section during the welding of the coil ends.

SECTION 4 – Patented FORMING.

using the latest patented forming system. This system is characterized with auto setting, manual setting and quick roll

change to allow for an accurate shaping. This substantially improves the effectiveness and strength of the weld.

REFORMING section.

This section is designed in such a way that the least possible number of rolls have to be changed during size changes. The

edge bending section serves to preset the strip edges for proper presentation to the welder. All roll movements are controlled

by the computerized quicksetting system. In front of this section the hole punched during the coil joining process at the

cross-welder is detected and this information is tracked and transmitted to the cut-off where the cross-weld is removed.

Straightedge Forming section

In the straightedge forming section, the preformed strip is homogeneously shaped into a round cross-section. This is

performed by two roller beams arranged in pairs in two sections behind one another. Again all roll and beam movements are

controlled by the computerized quicksetting system.

Quick-Change System

Extemely short changing times are achieved using a combination of the "in-line" and "off-line" systems. The "in-line"

system consists of the rolls, roll chocks and the change car. The chocks with the "old" rolls are pushed out of the stationary

mill stands onto the vacant positions of the change car by use of hydraulic cylinders. The change car is then indexed over

one position and the "off-line" prepared chocks with the "new" rolls are then pulled into the stands. The "new" rolls are

moved to the work position and set according to stored values in the computerized quicksetting system. All operations are

fully automatic.

The change car is then moved to the "off-line" roll changing area. The "off-line" system consists of a variety of changing

and roll manipulation devices for removing the "old" rolls from the chocks and replacing them with the "new" rolls in

preparation for the next roll change. All the "off-line" work takes place while the mill is running.

Mill Changeover Systems

Improve Productivity and Reduce Manufacturing Costs with Patented Systems

It is important for tube and pipe manufacturers to analyze their changeover requirements carefully. Many factors determine

which changeover system best fits production needs. Some of the these factors are:

a. Product Mix

b. Run Size

c. Frequency of Runs

d. Finished Product Inventory

Page 22: METALS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED - DIYTrade.com Z245.21, DIN 30670,DIN 30678, API RP 5L2 and other international specifications. GOST 20295 NACE MR0175, NACE TM0177, NACE TM0284, and other

e. Operator Motivational Level

f. Crane Availability

g. Space Requirements

h. Maintenance

Seven Levels of Changeover Allow for Planned Upgrading

Level #1,#2,&#3: On Line Changeover Reduces Down Time Between Runs.

Level#1: Front stand and rolls are removed with the use of cranes. Roll Manipulators aid changing of tooling.

Level#2: Powered front stand removal, roll manipulators and roll racks speed up tooling change.

Level#3: Continuous Cart Transfer System(CCT)is added on line to facilitate roll change without using cranes.

Level#4 & #5: Sub-Plated On Line Changeover is Combined with Off Line change Equipment to Reduce Mill Down Time

Level#4: Includes interchangeable stand assemblies with powered disconnect and crane removal on line, powered front

stand removal off line, roll manipulators and crane lifted roll racks off line.

Level #5: Roll changing off line uses CCT System instead of crane for interchanging roll racks and storing front stands.

Level #6 & #7: Advanced Changeover Systems: No Cranes Required for Minimum Mill Down Time

Level#6: Automated Transfer Cart (ATC) removes and replaces interchangeable stand assemblies. This Level also includes

powdered front stand removal off line, roll manupulators and crane lifted roll racks off line.

Level#7: Roll changing off line uses CCT System instead of crane for interchanging roll racks and storing front stands.

Fin-pass stands

The fin-pass stands are constructed as a 4-roll design. All are equipped with rapid roll changing thanks to horizontal pushing

out and in of the whole roll chock assembly. All roll and assembly movements are controlled by the computerized

quicksetting system and roll locations are displayed on the operators screens.

SECTION 5 – HF WELDING

This 1200 kw/600kw High Frequency Induction/contact solid-state Welder is manufactured by Thermatool Corp, a famous

welder manufacturer in the world. It can examine and adjust weld parameters, including temperature and inside diameter

and outside diameter trim removal through computerized processor. It serves to heat the two strip edges to a molten state

prior to entering the squeeze stand.

The 5-roll squeeze stand, supplied by Bronx International, is also equipped with a computerized quicksetting system

ensuring high precision positioning of the weld rolls for proper alignment of the strip edges during the welding process. The

outside scarfer is equipped with two scarfing tools which can be adjusted independently. The patented inside scarfer is

equipped with a bead chopper to produce short chips in order to ease I.D. bead removal in the bundling area.

ASTM D4101 PP(Polypropylene) BS 6374-2 Lining of equipment with polymeric materials for the process industries - Part 2: Specification for lining with non-sheet applied thermoplastics BS 6374-3 Lining of equipment with polymeric materials for the process industries - Part 3: Specification for lining with stoved thermosetting resins BS 6374-5 Lining of equipment with polymeric materials for the process industries - Part 5: Specification for lining with rubbers Pipe Coating Products Fusion Bonded Epoxy – Fusion Bond Epoxy is a powder epoxy thermosetting coating applied for anticorrosion protection to steel pipelines. The pipe is first blast cleaned and heated. Then epoxy powder is spray applied by electrostatic guns to melt and form a uniform layer that hardens within a minute from application. Utilizing industry accepted materials supplied by manufacturers such as 3M, DuPont, and Valspar, the facility can apply FBE in a wide range of thickness to cost effectively meet any project specifications. Fusion Bonded Epoxy with Abrasion Resistance Overcoating (FBE/ARO) – Utilizing two completely separate powder systems, the facility can produce FBE with an ARO at unprecedented processing speeds using industry accepted materials such as 3M 6352, DuPont 7-2610, and Lilly 2040. Fusion Bonded Epoxy with High Temperature Resistant Overcoating – Utilizing two completely separate powder systems, the facility can produce FBE with a high operating temperature resistant overcoating such as DuPont’s Nap-Gard Gold and 3M’s 6258. Fusion Bonded Epoxy with Zap-Wrap Overcoating – The facility is capable of processing line pipe with connections and of applying the Zap-Wrap abrasion resistance overcoating to the ends of each pipe. Three Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) To improve anticorrosion performance and adhesion, an additional layer of epoxy primer is sprayed onto pipe surfaces prior to the adhesive layer and Polyethylene top layer application. Three Layer Polyethylene is suitable for service temperatures from 60°C to 80°C (85°C peaks). Typical coating thickness is from 1-2 mm to 3-5 mm. Three Layer Polypropylene (3LPP) If a wider service temperature range and high stiffness is required, adhesive and top layers, applied over primer layer, are based on polypropylene instead of polyethylene. Three Layer Polypropylene is suitable for service temperatures up to 135 °C (140°C peaks). Typical coating thickness is from 1-2 mm to 3-5 mm. Three Layer Polypropylene and Polyethylene Three Layer applications involve a thermoplastic coating applied to steel pipelines as a form of anticorrosion protection. This mechanical resistance is appropriate when the risk of particularly severe coating damages exist. The Three Layer process involved several steps. First, the pipe surface is blast cleaned to remove any external residue from the mill or storage. It is then heated and sprayed with a Fusion Bond Epoxy (FBE) primer followed by the application of an adhesive copolymer and polyolefin polymers that are wrap extruded, one over the other.
