Custom In its standard form, the Metal S-Curve easily maneuvers around standard 2″ × 4″ walls. Further, it pairs perfectly with our VR453 handrail bracket, which extends 3 1/8″ from the edge of the wall to the center of the bracket. If the width of your wall exceeds 4 5/8″, or if you have a handrail bracket with a reach that’s longer or shorter than that of the VR453, let us know. With some simple measurements, we can customize the Metal S-Curve to fit your needs. Connecting Kit The Metal S-Curve comes with a Connecting Kit that will help you join the fitting with the rest of your handrail. The kit includes: Wood Block—Fits inside the handrail and Metal S-Curve, providing the handrail bracket with extra mounting support. Epoxy—Secures the Wood Block to the handrail and Metal S-Curve. Screws—Go into the handrail bracket that supports the joint where the handrail and Metal S Curve meet. When mounting the handrail bracket, populate all 6 of its holes with screws. Touch-Up Paint—Covers metal exposed during the cutting phase. Touch-Up Paint can also be used to hide other nicks & scratches that occur during installation.
