MESSAGE TO WMSU MALANGAS ESU

Assalamu Alaikum, Buenas Dias a Todos and Maayong Dia sa atuang Tanan.

I am writing this message to all of you as a sign of progressing our relationship in and out of the Western Mindanao State University. Just recently, I surpassed one of Gods greatest challenge in the aspects of my Leadership Capital.

I am pleased to have served you for the past years as the President of the WMSU University Student Council. The journey was indeed a memorable one. I remembered the journey being with you amidst the Zamboanga Siege when we had to do our leadership training here at your campus. It was fun-filled and so meaningful to hear your stories and even exchanged opinions of how to go through life.

I shared this quote to all of you."A leader smiles in times of troubles, gather stress from strength and grow brave through reflection and prayers"-an exhortation I had developed when I was a first year college student at Ateneo de Zamboanga university and up until now had been my living principle of my progress and success.

A quote from Margarette Williamson states that "In every community, there is work to be done, in every nation there are wounds to heal, in every heart, there is the power to do it"- which influenced me to live a life in peace and harmony.

These two important maxims made me the best person I am today. I am honored to have worked with you especially in empowering our officers and student leaders. The times when we exchange points about life and the sessions we had in order to build a better WMSU are such remarkable experiences.

To the CSB now USC of WMSU MALANGAS, Maraming Salamat for giving us many opportunities to reexamined our selves and even create more dreams for our community. The times we did community outreaches gave us more reasons to serve our communities and eventually landed to spending vacation in your beautiful paradises.

We just recently concluded the USC Election 2014. All of you knew that I ran for USC President again for my second and last term. The entire election became so controversial to the point that my character, integrity and way of life was at stake.

There were character assassinations, online judgements and even threats. After all the campaigns and election processes, I am thankful that I won again as the USC President. However, I was dethrone from office due to protests from other parties. Despite this incidences, it did not stopped me to extend my very help to all of you.

I finally moved on and had continuously reflected what had happened and I surrendered to God Almighty everything. Friends advised me to accept it because God prepares you for bigger opportunities. Indeed, it was true.

I would like to personally thank everyone for the Juanderful Journey since last year. I am more thankful to WMSU MALANGAS ESU for two consecutive years, you became so instrumental to my success. For all those who voted for me and for all of you who believed in JUANWMSU, daghang salamat sa inyuang tanan. Maraming salamat din sa entire Administration especially our Campus Administrator Maam Tina Yambao for the conversation and your mentoring to us as well as to all teachers who allowed us to be working with you.

I am now confident to the Administration of USC VICE PRESIDENT ELECT Mr. Antonio Tontie Salcedo, now our USC President and Student Regent this year. We hope and pray for your support.

Allow me to extend our deepest thanks for making juanwmsu number one in your hearts. All of us are with great admiration for your trusted votes to the entire family of juanwmsu.

Our coming ro WMSU Malangas, regardless if it is school-based programs or community-based activities, it will always give us many reasons to smile. Your warm welcome, your accommodation, your continuous texts on us, asking "kayo po ba ang nanalo?" And even conversations, gave us more inspiration to celebrate this special occasion with all of you. Hopefully, our coming here can also inspire you and give all of you a smile.

Let us always remember as leaders we smile! I'll leave you with this challenges of smile. S- hare your blessings. Bring out the best in you by inspiring others. M-ake the best story of your life. Create pictures and document your story. Soon you will go back to this story, and will realize how beautiful it is. Include and allow yourself

to be held by gods hands. It is in this manner that you will realize how grateful are we if we have god in us all the time. L-isten to others. We will know our friends not just in good times but really in times when you are about to give up and quit. They will share to you beautiful anecdotes and lastly, e-energize yourself with experiences and challenges.

Allow me to congratulate the officers and even all of you. We are all leaders. In one gathering that I had attended., congressman Arthur defensor jr of Iloilo city mentioned that the most difficult election ever are student council elections. Indeed it is true, things which are not true tends to be true, in the eyes of an innocent someone, something thrown by someone becomes so special that this will then be a basis of your new character. But for us, we strongly live up with the discipline of professing platforms than character assassination.

I'll end my speech with a quote. If all of you are my friends, and if all of you are sunflowers, I will not pick u up, I will cultivate u with love and care so I can keep u as my friend forever.

Magsukol, muchismas gracias and daghang salamat.
