Our Mission Statement
At Werris Creek Public School we ensure high levels of learning for all students.
Our staff believe that all students can excel, and they
willingly challenge and change their own practices to meet that
end.
Dear Parents and Carers
Yaama
NaplanNaplan results (For Years 3 and 5) have come out and our teachers are looking at the results and where we are heading as a school in terms of learning. If you have any concerns or queries when you receive your child’s results, please see you child’s classroom teacher.
Friday AssemblyOur second Friday assemble is happening this Friday at 2:15pm and our 3-6 students have been working hard on their performances. We look forward to seeing you there!
Tell the From Me Parent SurveysIt’s that time of the year where we start gathering information about student engagement and wellbeing and the impact of teaching practices at our school from the perspective of students, teachers and parents. The NSW-wide survey for parents is now open. We would love to hear from you through this survey as it helps provide feedback to inform our future directions. Additional information about the surveys can be found at https://surveys.cese.nsw.gov.au/images/FAQs/TTFM_Student_Survey_FAQs_Parent_and_Carers_T12019e.pdf The surveys are completely anonymous. The survey will close on Friday 25 October 2019. If you wish to complete the Parent Survey, please follow the link: http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/werrisOur students will also be completing a survey. The survey is a great opportunity for our students to provide us with valuable and quick feedback on what they think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them. More than 6,300 schools in Australia and around the world have used Tell Them From Me to survey 5.4 million students. Capturing the voices of our students will help improve how we do things at our school. More information about the survey is available at:
http://surveys.cese.nsw.gov.au

I want to assure you that the survey is confidential. The survey is conducted online and will typically take less than 30 minutes
‘to complete. A consent form for parents/carers about the survey is being sent home today. If you do not want your child or
children to participate, please return the form to school by Monday 23 September. Copies of the form and FAQs are available
from: http://surveys.cese.nsw.gov.au/information-for-parents.
