Message from the President “I’ve had a good day when I don’t fall out of the cart.” Buddy Hackett I chose that joke because I’ve kind of fallen out of the cart. By that I mean my shoulder and knee problems are keeping me from playing much golf this summer. I’ve been able to get nine holes in but 18 are out of the question. I’m continuing to do physical therapy in the hopes that this will strengthen my joints enjoy to play a full round with the club once again. I miss you all and hope you are having some great rounds of golf. Just a reminder to all the members: please be certain everyone is paired up before heading out for a round of golf. Recently, one of our members was the 13 th player and would have had to play alone except a 14 th player showed up at the last minute. I know no one would do this inten- tionally but sometimes we are so eager to get started, it’s easy to forget to check this point. The course was in good con- dition for this early in the season and many improvements were noted all around the course. Host Frank Dorn had a format of low net for one man and one woman and closest to the pin for one man and one woman. After the round everyone hurried to Karondoas Restaurant to beat the in- coming storm and just after being seated wind and rain hit the area hard. Everyone enjoyed the golf, food and spirits. Prize for low net men went to Landon Wood, low net women to Kathy Giba. Closest to the pin for men went to Dave Rewerts. Since none of the ladies hit the green a drawing for that prize was held by all in attendance and that was won by Frank Dorn.
